LUCKY # 7!!! Voted best park in the world!

Once again, CP has dominated the industry and is ranked #1 amusement park in the world. Also, Millenium Force took back its title from Superman at Six Flags New England which is a plus. I was surprised to find Dragster being ranked 7th! Wow... all I can say is WOW!

Yeah, Dragster moved from 11th, I believe, to 7th which is always nice to hear. And MF moving up to the numero uno spot is awesome to hear. If CP plays it's cards right, they can win this award for many, many years to come.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

I was happy to see Magnum move up a few spots to #3 Steel.

That made my week.

Can you tell it's been a crappy week?

You know, it really looks like the only thing stopping Holiday World from having the best water park is getting a Master Blaster-esque slide. They have the second and third favorite water rides already, and I think that would seal the deal.

Nice piece on Dan Feicht too. I don't think people realize just how much a part of the corporate identity he is. His stuff is every where, in every print ad, brochure, post card... everything.

Stories on AT site.

Anyone notice just how close MF and Superman were in the points? MF edged out Superman by only 14 points. That was a really tight race between those two coasters.

*Another interesting thing I noticed looking through the AT results, CP came in 4th for best kid's area. That kind of suprised me, although it was no suprise that PKI got #1 by a blowout in that category. I think with how some people's attitudes are about CP not being a "family" park, it would be smart to market that 4th place award. *** Edited 8/28/2004 6:26:38 AM UTC by Ralph Wiggum***

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

I, too, was glad to see that Magnum moved back up into the number 3 spot. I would like to think that it had a lot to do with the ride's awesome crew this year. ;)

Magnum should atleast be number two.
Hats off to Cedar Point for lucky 7! I was surprised to see last year that MF dropped to 2nd, but now that it has been reclaimed, I'm happy... :)

Very good idea! Fourth place isn't the best, but it's still pretty darn good. I think a little advertisement on this and all there other awards would really help out and show there versatility.

Yeah i'm stoked to hear that CP is yet again the best. For those who say raptor is getting rough, obviously something is wrong with you cause it's in the top 10 again for the 10th year in a row. I love to see that 4 of CP's coasters are on the top 10. Now just lower food prices, and the park would be almost perfect.

Actually i should remove the raptor comment, because Magnum is as rough as h*ll and it's number 3. *** Edited 8/29/2004 4:04:48 AM UTC by raptorman95***

"Lucky #7"? Luck had nothing to do with it. Cedar Point was voted the best because of a lot of hard work by a lot of people. Congratulations!

Yeah your right, It isn't luck... it's Darn skill! But It just went well with the title of the topic. ya know.

"Baby I'm ready to go!" Dragster 2004

Lets think about to next year, would CP still claim the number one spot with no new rollercoaster? What are youre reasons?

^^

Yes, cause CP is about quality. For example, my Dad hates coasters with a passion but he loved CP,but he hates all of the other amusement parks that wev'e been to. It's just because of the all around sensational feeling you get there. You know, having the beach right there, tons of shows, and even good quality rides like CP:LE Railroad that are not total thrills. So yeah, I say that they win best park again next year, unless some other park does something meraculous to win the best of the best.

There's no other park that's even close to Cedar Point. It had 35% of the vote this year, and Islands of Adventure came in 2nd with 15%. I can't see anybody beating them in the next several years.

Yeah wheres Six Flags now...
Anyone else notice there was no 'Best Capacity' category for this year?
