Low Water Level in Lagoon

We tried to ride Paddlewheel Excursions yesterday and we were told it was closed due to low water level in the lagoon. With as much rain as we have gotten recently why would the level be low unless they had purposefully drained the water out?

I think there is more to the story because taking a quick look from Charlie Brown's Cookout I could see that the boats were level with the dock. If the water was down this would not be the case. However, looking further down there were 8-10 people between Dragster and the lagoon. They appeared to be looking for something. You could also see a rather long, slender, flexible white object - almost like an oil sock. My guess is they were not running the boats because of what the workers were doing.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me!

Yup. Dastardly hidden secrets. They, along with the shooter on the grassy knoll, the guys who fabricated the moon landings, and Bigfoot, are all out to get you.

Any connection to the dirt piles on MF Island?

They were looking for alien eggs as shown in the "CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE 4TH KIND:INFESTATION FROM MARS" movie. What else could it be?

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Strange. I rode Paddlewheel Excursions the night before, and had no problems...

parhaps they were cleaning an oil leak from one of the boats?

Coaster Fanatic Since 2003

the lemon chill guy told me they are clearing it for footers for our new 350ft floorless

You know, it's more believable if you say 500 foot. We all know the next coaster will be 500 feet tall.

Have you talked to this guy lately? ©

You know, after the 1000th time that joke was cracked, it generally quit being funny.

I found it funny, the best thing Cedar Point could do now, in my view, would be a huge floorless, 350 feet, yes that would be awsome...

It was funny to me, I never heard that one. I guess I'll be nicer to the lemon chill guy.

I've noticed that too. Lemon Chill: the fountain of youth!

Hey, be nice. A Pepsi-stand guy told me about MF in '99...granted, it was after the press release but since I didn't know about that I considered him a reliable source.

Thunder Canyon '05

Nope, no conspiracy. The water level was high on Friday after all the rain making the boat higher then the dock. They left it draining all night which caused it be become to low. They were working all day Saturday to get the water level back to normal. The boat may be been even with the dock when you saw it but management as to okay it before they could open back up.
