Lost Shoes

Once again I didn't know if I should've put this in employee lounge or here. But w/e its all good.

1) Has anybody lost their shoes while riding Raptor? 2) What does the crew do (if they do anything) when a rider loses their footwear?

Yes MANY riders have lost their shoe(s) while riding Raptor. Although we say "Cedar Point is not responsible for any items lost or damaged while riding Raptor"....we will certainly get a lost shoe for a guest. If the guest knows where the shoe is (and for the most part they do remember where they lost it) we have to stack the trains, and if it is in one of our "dead zones"
then we get the key from our tl and get the item.
(let's not forget the hard hat too)
As you can imagine it causes inconvienience of the guests in the stacked trains, the inconvienience of the riders waiting to ride and the time it takes for all this to happen just for a shoe, this is why when in doubt of your shoes ability to stay on - TAKE THEM OFF!!! For hats and other less necessary items we walk the track after Raptor "in bed" for the night.

When I was a tike I lost my baseball hat during the helix on Mine Ride.  It landed right in the middle.  I could see it through the fence.  I asked a ride op to get it but they said they could not.  It sucked b/c I had a game that night...and no hat.

Must have been a precursor to things to come b/c I ended up working at CP...telling people I couldn't get them their hat!
