On a related note, that wheelbarrow has looked so lonely on the platform the past couple days...

First piece is now in place.

The rest of the ride should go up fairly quick now.

He has a point shaun. All we really ask on here is to spell and make sentences that prove youve done well in english class or have graduated high school. It's really a simple request that you dont have to get bent out of shape over. This may not be english class, but common sense and being able to take constrctive criticism is still expected.

And to answer your question. The next section is not up yet because there's other things they have to do to the first piece to prepare it for the next 7 sections.

Yeah they have probably over a one-hundred bolts that they need to put fasteners on and then torque down completely. That takes some time. On top of the fact that they need to make sure everything is lined up right, because if this piece is in wrong the rest of the tower will be too. If I remember correctly KI had the first piece up for a few days before they began to add the other sections on to it.

Actually, it is. Your posts don't need to be perfect, but it would be considerate to others if you were to actually try and communicate with something resembling the English language.

KI didn't put the second piece until a day or two after the first one went up. They still have plenty of time before the park opens to get stuff done. My bet is that they will have the tower completed by the end of next week.

Neither construction crew belong to either of the parks. I wouldn't be surprised if the crew that erected the tower at Kings Island is the same that is now doing Cedar Point's.

It's almost like they planned this for our tour ^_^

It looks like one of the top pieces is currently sitting on the pad to the right of the 1st piece on Windseeker2 cam. Looks like somebody showed up early for the party! ;)

There's a new part (or new to me at least) at KI's Windseekers site and it appears to be where the cables come out at the top and feed down to the gondola. Of course that's a guess. There's some brackets on it that look like they'd be for guide wheels so that's my guess.

Thats what I noticed as well. Hopefully we will get an upclose look at it before it goes up in a few days.

Think they will let us climb on it!? ;)

Ok, we'll need someone to act as a distraction while some of us climb the tower. We're gonna pull a "Fizzy Lifting Drink" move on Bryan. ;)

Well, they might not let us per say...buuut if you remember the old Willy Wonka...they went into the soda room on their own to begin with...sooooo, using that principle, maybe you could climb without their knowledge :)

they are not the same crew i have a friend working on the one at KI. and the crew is a totally separate construction crew. and company they are not the same company or crew the KI company is still there in mason.
