I've always wanted to ride Loch Ness Monster anyway. But seriously this is a sad day for all of Ohio. I hope I am wrong but the end of GL may be near. I am if attenance is not improving after 4 years will it ever. I don't know is removing the park's best coaster will help.
No, not the last day of operation.
They are open this coming weekend and I believe the following Saturday, and then Oktoberfest weekend, Sept 14-16, I believe.
Oktober is a pretty nice draw. Might be even more crowded with these rumors that are floating.
I think Griffon makes a goos case to go to Virginia.. ;)

Am i the only one confused here?
Isnt Loch Ness and what not at Busch Gardens? not Geauga Lake? or did i miss a memo or misunderstand an abbrevation? And what does Ohio have to do with Virgina?
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
Kings Dominion (Doswell, VA) is supposedly getting Dominator next year.
No official word, just screamscape.

I sure hope you're not going then. Oktoberfest is centered about BEER!!!111
That makes a little more sense. I don't follow GL all that closely. But how often is Screamscape right?
And Oktoberfest started in Germany to celebrate something political. I cant remember what exactly. Beer is just a part of thier culture.

Fire enough shots into the barrel and you're bound to eventually hit a fish.
^ - Oktoberfest is the German celebration of King Ludwig I to his queen Therese. It is mostly about drinking and eating (like any wedding celebration)

Not by my count, Marcus.
Business is business. Looks like next year we may be going down Santa Claus Lane instead of the CP parks.
Husband or the ever-famous...Villian Lover
After attending the GOCC Fall Freak Out last weekend, it is a pretty safe bet the Dominator rumor is true :(
Rumor yes, but those were the same people who said X and SV were moving. Also Bill Spehn never made it to our breakfast reception for the Q&A.
I would be nice if this was all speculation but I get a bad feeling it isn't. I told my hubby we'd better get to GL a couple more times before season over for our final Dominator rides. Bummer :(

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

Well it's official now,KD just announced the ride this afternoon.
Im glad they didnt change the name. I really like Dominator, good to see they finally announced it. i was getting tired of waiting
2009 TL Gemini
2008 ATL Gemini
2007 ATL Witches' Wheel/Monster
Da BEARS!
I never really cared for the name myself. Maybe not so much the name but the Dominator merchandise sucked. The Dominator shirts you'd never know it was a roller coaster by the logo/design.
Hopefully the ride will get the TLC, attention and riders it deserves. It is an awesome floorless! I'd expect nothing less from B&M! :)
But I think I would much rather drive 6 hours to Santa Claus (Voyage :)) or 6 hours to Dorney (Talon :) Hydra :)) or the 7 hours to SFGrtAdv (Nitro :)) then drive to KD for just Dominator.

Dominator: Tons but not enough! :(
