Looking for Suggestions

Hello, all! On August 28 & 29, my family and I will be making our first trip to Cedar Point, and are looking for information and pointers for our trip. Please send replies to goose27@philkpress.com. Thanks in advance!

1) First of all, we're wondering what a good, yet decent priced place to stay within decent distance to the park.

2) Just wanting to make sure, will a Knott's Berry Farm be accepted at the Point?

3) Is there a two day ticket available, or something like Six Flag's 'Twicket'?

4) How bad should we expect crowds to be?

5) Any general tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve-
I, myself, am 14. I went up with my dad and two friends over July 17-18. We stayed in two separate rooms at the Clarion Inn Sandusky.

I believe a two-bed room was $120/night.

Two-day tickets are available. I believe $60 a pop.

WHOO!
Well if you don't wanna try TTR, Cedar Point's version of FASTPASS, then go right to Millennium Force at 9:00A.M. Then head to one of these: Power Tower, Mantis, or the back or the park from Magnum untill Thunder Canyon. The back of the park is also empty at night.

WE stayed at I hink Econolodge, which is just past the entrance to the Causway. I think our two bed room was about 70$. but I'm not quite sure, anyway it was a nice hotel to just sleep.
Yes, CP does have a two day ticket. Its called a Ride and Ride again ticket meaning its a two day ticket or two park ticket :) The price is $59 [Find out more about this and more at: http://www.cedarpoint.com/prices_cedar.htm ] My suggestions I can think of are:

-If rain threats you cna try heading to Disaster Transport, but hundred of other people will try the same thing. Try browsing the gift shops and pick out a souvenir since it will be your first time at CP
-Don't eat at peak lunch and dinner hours. Try some of the bigger coasters
-Anytime is really a good time to ride Gemini since its short lines because of its high capacity
-Ride MF first and last thing [Also last or semi last rides I reccomend: Iron Dragon (Before show) Magnum and Raptor]

Hope that helped
They do accept Knott's season passes.
Check out the strategy page on this site. Heck, if you look around here more, you just might find the answers to most of your questions!
