I don't remeber seeing a thread about this.
I was at GL last summer and got to thinking that CP should get rid over the key lockers that they have now, and get the keyless ones that GL has. Just a thought.

I like the keyed lockers, atleast the one-time use ones. Normally, if I'm storing something in there, it's for the day. I would rather pay a dollar and open it once, than pay the $5, $6, $7 or whatever it is at Geauga Lake and only open it once. But, that's just the way I look at it based on how I use them.

But what if you lose the code? :)
There are good things and bad things about both systems.

I would rather pay $1 for the whole day than $3 for one hour. They could always have finger print readers instead of the codes like the ones at universal.

With the lockers at Geauga Lake you pick your own code so you can pick something that you will remember. There is no tag to keep track of. This method of code allows your whole group access to the locker (just make sure you don't say your code too loudly or bystanders will know it too).

It's all about your personal choice. I like lockers that I can open a bunch throughout the day. I'd pay $5 or so for one. I remember earlier this year in May at CP I purchased a locker. It was an iffy day weather-wise...periods of rain, periods of sun. Having access to my locker without paying each time would've been nice as I could've changed outerwear to fit the weather.
It'd probably also help if they had lockers that allowed multiple openings as people could store their prizes/merchandise in them as they get them throughout the day...cutting down (hopefully) on those angry folks getting turned away from MF and Dragster.

I think they either need to update the lockers so you can choose between one use or all day.
Or... the need to have more all day locker locations then at just the very front of the park. Somewhere around Corkscrew / Iron Dragon would be best.
If the lockers were electronic, it would seem to me that they could give you the choice when you put your stuff in the locker: $1.00 to lock it once, $5.00 to lock it as many times as you want all day.

Why not have both? When I went there this summer every time we went on a coaster my friend had to pay $1 to put his bag in a locker. It would make it convenient.

Link all the lockers together so you can use more than just one locker for the same price in the day. Make all the guests use them on the coasters for no loose articles on the ride. Lines move faster, people don't get hit by loose articles on the rides, people can use lockers all day for one price and CP makes money. :)
