The little things I notice while bored at work...
Too bad. I liked the idea of being able to look out onto the lake from the loading station. It would make for a better atmosphere than solid walls.
To look at the lake you'd have to clear out everything between the ride and Breakers.
I do hope they have some kind of skylight, like most of the stations, so you can peak up the lift.

I guess I meant Sandusky bay.
I was just thinking about what's been said about the loading station being enclosed and I am wondering why in the world are they enclosing it? I can't think of any other roller coaster station at CP that is enclosed (except DT). Does anyone know why this is?
Maybe they are closing off the loading station so that breezes from the bay won't be a hassle... I mean, who would like waiting in a windy loading station for about 10 minutes. If you don't thing that would be bad... how would it feel to be a ride Op (pretty good, but not with the wind)...
I am probably wrong, but this just was a logical guess.
yeah i dont think that is the case because mean streak and blue streak are pretty close to the water on that side of the peninsula as well... i honestly cant think of any reason why they would....
i like the idea of an enclosed loading station because it creates more of a suppence those ten minutes while you get in to the loading station before you ride it. You wont be able to see the lift hill, but when you get in its only gonna take 20 seconds to get up that hill and it will make it a lot scarier! those are just my thoughts on this topic.
It won't be like a closed in building. You'll be able to see out the sides as in any station.

looks like it is enclosed to me from the webcam
Good point jeff, I just saw it was dark with a top on so I assumed it was enclosed. I need not say what happens when we assume.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!

Well if it was enclosed you couldn't feel the gust of wind on the platform as the train flies by over the bunny hop. ;)
I'm not sure what you're seeing on the Webcam, particularly since the load station is hidden behind the track in the foreground.

If it you look closely it looks like the unloading station is being coverd as well.

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?" (as stated by my best-friends about CP)
I've looked at some older images (during the pull through) and I could see through the loading station. Now I can't. So it does look like it is enclosed.

I think it is stupid to enclose it. What is the point. To provide A/C? Let people be outside and enjoy the sounds of people screaming by, and views onto the bay. Hopefully they can still remove whatever it is they are using to enclose it with in the future when they decide that it sucks. There are two sensations when dealing with outdoors, you are either inside or outside, no slush zone.
It might just be a temporary enclosure. Mabey for putting concrete on the steel beems, like in the Magnum station. Or for painting or other visual improvments.

I like the idea of it being enclosed, I'm sure there will surely be windows or something so you can still look at the trains as they leave the station. It's most likely to keep us ride operators sheltered from the unpredictable drastic weather changes. I highly doubt they will provide air conditioning, but protection from rain and wind would be nice! The adrenaline will be pouring through you anyway, so who would really care about standing in an enclosed area for a few minutes?? I know I would not care all that much, I'll be too excited to do the most important thing... to get on the train!!!

I find it hard to believe CP will COMPLETELY enclose the MF station. My bet is the station will end up being very similar to most of the other coaster stations, ie. Magnum, Mantis, Corkscrew, Gemini.
...just a thought, and maybe something easily dismissed by someone who knows officially, but perhaps the enclosed structure is not a loading platform, but some kind of pause, similiar to the portion of Disaster Taransport just before the chain engages with the coach. Therefore loading and unloading would take place in the south structure of the station.
