Loading and Unloading

Is MF going to have a separate unloading station like Disaster Transport or are you going to load and unload at the same spot like magnum? I'm just wondering because it looks like there is two stations.

It will be separate stations. You can see the stations coming along on CedarPoints website.. they added new photo's recently.

I don't know why. Is it somehow more convenient to do the double station way? Personally, I don't like it. I like seeing people come back from their ride. Perhaps someone with more info can enlighten(sp?) me. :)
Maybe the two station mode is to maybe control traffic, speed along the ride process...(remember only one train will be on the circuit at one time)

I need something cleared up is there only one train total, or just one on the lift at a time or just one on the ride, not including the stations at a time.
A couple of things it will accomplish...

First of all, it is an easy way to add a fourth block to the ride. Remember that the ride is to run three trains and has no mid-course block brake. Consider how Magnum is blocked--

o Station
o Lift
o Ride to safety brake after last tunnel
o Transfer Table

Millennium Force lacks that first brake, the mid-course brake that Magnum has following the last tunnel. So the blocking on Millennium Force looks to be...

o Loading station
o Lift
o Ride to safety brake
o Unloading station

Remember that Millennium Force is probably a much shorter ride than Magnum. Using the unloading station would be roughly equivalent to getting Magnum's riders off at the transfer table, which means that one train can be loaded while another is unloading, and both the loading and the unloading processes will be sped along by the ability to perform the other task in the other station...that is, an empty train loads faster than a full one, so the two-stop loading should actually increase throughput. Odd as that may seem...although those of us who remember the pre-1994 Blue Streak also know that its throughput is a lot lower now than it was with the two stations.

Given the relative locations of the stations on Millennium Force, I suspect that the experience will be more like what Blue Streak used to be than like what we now see on Disaster Transport or PKI's Outer LIMits. That is, I suspect that the stations will be open to one another, so you will see people returning from their ride...you just won't have to wait for them to get off the train.

Er, Bill, did I just answer your question (which you posted while I was writing that long essay, or do you need more?

Rememeber The Rule for multi-train coasters: No more than one train may occupy any control block at any time.

I figured it had to do with the blocking. I guess since there is no mid course block break, than double stop loading would speed it up seeing as how they wouldn't be able to move the next train. Would the situation be different if another block existed within the ride. (Such as Mantis or Raptor.)?
Dave- don't you mean pre-1994 Blue Streak? If I remember correctly, they rebuilt ole blue's queues/brakes/station with RAPTOR.

Didn't I say 1994? 8-)
