I was just wondering, how many people actually go see the live shows at cedar point? If anyone has gone in the past, what did you think of them.
THe live shows at CP are second to none. They blow away any park that I've been to in the past 4 years.
Last year the 80's show and Country show at Red Garter were top notch. This year it's a countyr show (same band as last year, a must see even if you hate country like me). And a Rock/Pop & Soul show that startes later in the season.. I think the target date it June 12th or something.
The percussion show before the Imax movie is always good.. I tend to see it then go through the theater and out. Lusty Lil's show this year looks to be interesting, some of the people are returns.

The live shows are great! You would not believe that most of the entertainers are college students! It is very rare to see a "bad" show at CP. I think my favorite to date is "IT TAKES TWO". I believe that was back in 91. Also another excellent show was "swinging singing" at the red garter in 90, and usually "show stoppers" and "surfin'" summertime in the early 90's at Lusty Lil's palace were pretty excellent.

I love Cedar Point's live entertainment, with my favorite show usually the one in the Centennial Theater (previously the home of "Rockin' Round the Point" (both versions) and "Movies! Movies! Movies!") for reasons I can't begin to explain because I don't know what they are--it's just something that happens!
As a season pass holder, I'll usually spend one entire day at CP just attending shows and not participating in The Mad Ride Dash. This year will be no different. It makes for a relaxing, very pleasant, non-exhausting day.

FASCINATION (1955-2000): It *was* the game--the only game--I came to Cedar Point to play.
I love the whole magic of the specialized Halloweekends shows as well. I loved the "jury" show but they didn't seem to have it last year..hope they bring it back!

I have already gleaned the show schedule and making plans for the shows I "must see" and targeting them for certain days of my upcoming (and only) 3 day trip to CP....Thanks to some input from this board, the country show is a definite...!!!
Thanks..!!!
Thanks for the info. I'll be at Lusty Lil's this summer in the show "Fantasy". All this Cedar Point stuff is new to me. I haven't seen a live show in a couple of years, so right now I'm pretty excited about performing their this summer because what you all have said about the shows. The show at Lusty Lil's this summer is a brand new show, so come over and check it out. See everyone this summer.
Of all the parks that I have been to, CP has the best overall quality of shows anywhere. All the shows there are good. At other parks, it only seems like one of the shows is good and the others are not so good.
