Live Entertainment

I just wanted to start a thread to talk about the Live Entertainment shows this year...especially "Twisting to the 60's" and "Livin in America". I wish I could personally thank each of these extremly talented and dedicated young people for the hard work they put in, to give us a Great Show!!

I've now seen each of these shows 2 times, and look forward to seeing them again next time I visit the park. Twisting to the 60's is a great blast to the past good time. Can't help but enjoy singing along. Livin in America is new this year, and a great addition to the Live Entertainment!

Bravo for the many hours of rehersal, and long hours performing! THANK YOU, and looking forward to giving you another standing "O" next time I see them!!

I never seem to have time for the shows.

101 on Magnum and counting...

I thought "Rockin at the Red Garter" was good this year. Cought the show last week and it was very entertaining.

First trip June 23rd

I have been fortunate enough to have seen some of the rehearsals for this summer's ice show, Snoopy's Summer Vacation. The show looks like it's going to be awesome and the skaters are really talented. Lots of great new music, but a few songs that are also in some of the other Live E shows at the park this year. Can't wait too see it this weekend!!!

I happened to stop in and watch Twisting To The 60's on a rainy day and I loved it. It was the first day I ever took the time to actually watch a whole live show.

Magnum still rocks.

Haha...same here. Last year I watched a show at the front of the park when it was raining and I actually enjoyed it. Funny how many things are at parks that I never take the time to stop and realize it.

Coaster Count: 147

Last Wednesday (6/15), I saw both "Rockin' at the Red Garter" and "Living in America".

While the musicianship displayed by both the vocalists and band of RatRG was top notch as always, I found the show WAY too loud overall and the vocals overpowered by the band much of the time. I also didn't personally care for the songs selected for the show. I doubt I'll be back on my own to see it again, but might go if someone else wants to see it.

LiA was an outstanding replacement to last year's Centennial Theater show. I enjoyed LiA tremendously--not since the first in the "Hooray for Hollywood" series of shows have I liked a show so much. This is a show I will see every time I come to the park.

I look forward to seeing "Twistin' to the Sixties" during my next trip. This was my favorite show last year, from Ricky and Vicky Lane to the Everpoof(?) jingle and the dancing doodads on the proscenium during the finale.

I love rockin in the red garter and livin in america probably bewcause i have friends in the shows but yeah there very good...i will make sure i tell them you like the show though.

These are all the shows I have seen this season: (From least liked to most liked)

Extreme Splash: Probably my least favorite. Extremely cheesy and slow, as stated before. I would only see this if I had kids.

Snoopy’s Summer Spectacular: I always remembered seeing this as a kid and thought it was much better back then. Like Extreme Splash, only see this if you have kids with you.

Twistin’ to the Sixties: I thought this show was just “Okay.” It’s one of the few shows at Cedar Point that has a plot. If you have time and you’re right by Palace Theatre when they’re seating for this show I would suggest seeing it.

Rockin’ the Garter Live: Not too bad. If you’re into live rock you’ll enjoy it. In addition to Rock hits they also play more recent country (Redneck Women) and Pop (Kelly Clarkson) hits.

Snoopy’s Summer Vacation: I went into this show knowing it was going to be really hard to top off Snoopy Rocks on Ice! The chorography is twice as good and lighting effects and even the sets were made better. You’ll notice that this one doesn’t focus on the Peanuts characters as much but more about the skaters. If you want to see more Peanuts characters then go to Camp Snoopy.

Livin’ in America: Perhaps the best show I have ever seen at Cedar Point. The cast has developed a tight relationship that even shows on stage. If you plan on seeing one show on your next trip, Livin’ in America would be the best choice.

I have watched all of the shows this year, and I give them all an a+ except for the ice show. This years ice show does not hold a match to last years show.

There was no real story line, and the skating was not as intense as last years show. Also there was a lack of props and efects.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I saw the Snoopy Ice Show this past Saturday and for me being a 20 year old, i would have to say that I enjoyed it alot. The whole cast did an awesome job, and I recomend it to anyone who either has kids, or just wants to beat the summer heat. My favorite preformer was the blonde girl who came out in pigtails:)...any way...good show....keep up the good work

The Snoopy ice show is very good i like it a lot. I still love rocking in the red garter live and livin in america. the best shows there but the blonde hair girl now dyed her hair brown. She looks good still but yeah she is very good at skating.
