Little Help Regarding First Time At CP

So I was thinking of going to CP for the first time in my life on Sept 17,2006(a week from this Sunday).

I realize that nobody is able to predict how the crowds will be, but from what I understand Sundays(aside from holidays like Labor Day which I heard was dreadful) are the best time of the week to go(although it would seem every day of the week is a good time to goto CP from the enthusiasm many of you have shown on this site).

After looking at CP.com I found that the 17th is also the "34th Annual North American Sail & Power Boat Show in the Cedar Point Marina".

I am assuming that since it's been around for 34 years some of you may have heard of it or perhaps even attended. Is this a big draw in terms of attendance?

It's either Sunday the 17th(boat show) or Sunday the 24th(first weekend of Halloweekends). Which would you guys choose if you were forced to make a choice soley based on there being less people(aka more ride time!).

The boat show can cause it to be pretty busy. Honestly, I'd go this Sunday or the one after it if I was you. Unless you're on some sort of strict schedule.

I'd agree with Ben. If you can wait til the 24th, that might be your best bet. It might be a little busy being the first "Halloweekend", but since you've never been, you'll get to experience some Halloween fun.

I'm behind them all the way. but I would go on saturday if possible. Their may be more people but it gives you more time to enjoy the park. Cedar Point's Halloweekends is a very good time to go (right next to the month of May). It is one of the best Haunted attractions in the USA at the best Amusment park in the world.

Plus- Later at night when the haunted houses open, the ride lines become less crouded. ;)
