Lines in May?
What were the lines like for most of the roller coasters in May, last year? Obviously they will be longer, expect more people because of Wicked Twister. Are the lines as long as in the summer or as long as the fall? Thanks!

The best time to go in May..are when the kids are still in school...which is a very small open window for that. Last year..we rode like every coaster 3 times and all the small rides and still had time to kill toward the early evening. For us..during the summer we hit the park on a Tuesday or Wednesday after 5...those times seem to have the shortest lines. We dont do to many weekends.

Lines are always unpredictable, but generally, in May, the lines are minimal - especially during weekdays. Weekends aren't crowded either. They are much shorter than the summer and usually shorter than the fall. Overall, May is a great time to go if you don't want to wait.

The only problem with going to Cedar Point in May is running into the schools who do their end of the year projects at Cedar Point. I went for my physics class final last year in May and there were many other schools their too. However, if I did have my choice I would pick May anyways because the lines do seem to be shorter. Especially at night when most of the schools start to head home during the evening. Ours stayed until the park closed and the lines were really short. But the only thing you really have to worry about in May is the kids that take their exams at the point. Other than that, it's smooth sailing. Highly recommended to attend in the month of may and early june on weekdays.
No. No the lines in May are very very long...stay away in May. Yes, that's it...don't go in May, especially on Fri, May 10 ;)

I agree with olympic 10086: Don't go in May! especially May 19 - 21. I've heard the place will be commandeered by ravenous U2 fans for those 3 days.

The very first week the park was open last year there was no one there. EVERY ride was a walkon with a one train operation, except for MF. Ut oh, you had to wait 5 minutes with a 2 train op. Yeah, first week during the week is definately the time to come.

Just a bit of helpful info from a former employee. The lines, especially on sundays and wednesdays in May are extremely short, if not walk on. Other good days to come to the park are sundays near the end of august and any operating weekends in september.
