Line Music

Hello Everyone...I know that while waiting in those long Cedar Point lines, we need something to do to pass the time...Many of the big rides and attractions have music playing, but after an hour wait, you seem to hear the same songs over again...This can get tiring...I am just wondering if there is that one specific song that you seem to hear every time you get into a certain rides line? I know for me, everytime I have ridden the Mantis since it has opened, I have always heard the song "Loveshack." I can't recall a time when I didn't hear this song...Just curious to know what other songs you always end up hearing everytime you get into line...

Be wary of falling shoes while waiting in line for Raptor

I noticed this last May when I visited the park. It seemed as if through most of the park they were simply palying one cd, over and over again. The CD had "Smooth" by Rob Thomas and Santana, and "Venus" be Bananarama. I can;t think of the other songs though. I was so pissed on one of the days I went that they kept playing the CD, I complained. When I went there last week, I was pissed when I heard what appeared to be the same CD, when I was in Line for Wicked Twister. I guess they are just cheap with their music. The might only play a limited selestion because they may need to pay for the rights to the somgs when they play them. Maybe someone can back me up on that one. Regardless, the seriously need to have a larger playlist of music in the lines and along the midway.

You guys are correct. The DJ booths weren't used by DJ's that much last year. All CP does is put a MD in w/ a mix of songs, and let it play over and over. If I remember correctly, the MF DJ booth is usually the one w/ the DJ, and Raptor, & Maggie, just usually have a MD playing. I know 4 sure, that the MS both hasn't been open 4 awhile.

The DJ's are there just about every day from mid-June or so through mid August or so. Also, the "auto-DJ" in the booths just appeared last year to my knowledge and I'd rather have that than just dead silence! :) You do hear the same songs alot, but oh well...

2001 Magnum Crew

I remember last year they had a DJ on Magnum and this year it is on autopilot and it kind of sucks but the same music is better than no music at all.

I'm sure the real DJ will be back at Magnum this year probably starting around mid-June. Do any of the rides have DJs as of right now? There weren't any on opening day. They probably start around the same time as the new ice skating show.

Got, I HOPE (unrealistically, I think) that they don't add that horrible "Soak up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow to the rotation.

The first time I heard that, she was performing at the AFC Championship game on a 15 degree day. She was wearing this goofy looking fur coat and hat, and was garnering absolutely NO attention from the halftime crowd.

Every time I hear that song on the radio now, it makes me nauseous.

I like Soak Up the Sun. It is a fun song and sort of puts me in a summer mood even with this cold weather. I guess different people just have different tastes in music.

One time when Raptor had a really long wait I heard that acursed song that is called the macarina (don't rember how to spell it) 7 times..............noooooooooooo...........6 times in line and when I got off and was going down the exit it was palying again. Later that day Mantis had Love Shack playing alot, but when doesn't it.
