Line Jumping...Did I go too far?

I personally don't have a problem with people who get something from a vending machine go back to their possition. Althougghh, I DO think that someone who takes forever to take picture upon picture upon picture shouldnt hold up the line... He should have told you that you can go ahead of him. And its not like its that big a deal for him. It isn't like one person is gonna make you wait seven extra trains. So chill buddy. (To the photographer)

^ That doesn't really make much sense. The photographer isn't making anyone else "wait longer" because it's not like he's taking photographs in the station and all kinds of empty trains are going out. But, you want the photographer to just keep letting people passed him for pausing in the line? That WOULD put him several trains back in the line. You should've said "chill buddy (to the impatient one)."

Holy ****... does it really matter all that much?

If I stop to take a picture, I'd expect people to go around me, too.

Wow you guys read way too much into the whole thing. If you stop the line for that long a whole queue section, then I'd go in front of that person too. From what I know its only considered line jumping if you leave the queue structure and then try to re-enter at the same point, with 2 exceptions (1. being Medical reasons and you'll have a note from Park Operations, and 2. being escorted by a Ride Host.) if you have to leave your party in line and goto the restroom or your locker or whatever, and you ask a Ride Host, they can escort you back to your place in line, this has happened to me at Top Thrill Dragster, one of my friends finished her souvenir cup completely before we got into line, and then they went down for mechanical reasons we asked a ride host who was watching people exit, and they said sure, just come back to the entrance and we'll escort you back to your party.

You guys are so cut and dry on a subject when its vacation.

If a guy wants to bird watch and hes eying a bald eagle for 8 seconds to long, unknown to him the queue moves 14 feet in a matter of seconds.

The same applies to McDonalds, you can be as close as you want to the person in front of you physically but if the ride handles X amount per hour, and there is X amount in front of you..as long as you keep up at the end of the ride does it really matter.

I dunno. I got quite the chuckle out of John's link. :)

If your any physically closer to the person in front of you at McDonalds you will still get your order taken at the same time unless your in the bathroom.

I think CP's policy is to let you get back to your spot for a vending machine visit.

My friend stopped to get a water in TTD line, when walking back to his place with us he was stopped by an op and told to go to the back of the line.He then stated he just stopped for a water. She said "I didnt see that." Which to me sounds like thats aloud. The funny thing is,the machine took his money and didnt give him his drink to show.

How about this? A few people left the Raptor line because it was down to weather/rain,two seconds later it started running again. Those people only walked two feet out of line.Do you care if they get back in-line?

When I was waiting in line for MF and it was raining pretty hard and people were crowding under those tents (which don't block the rain much) a bunch of people from behind me came and crawled under and got way infront of us right in the station. Cuting about 35 people. I thought this was really unfair and wished to tell securitty but I didn't want to get out of line because I would loss my spot. Does securitty have a number?

I would of walked to the front of the line and notified the ride operator at the arriving station. He would have phoned security, and the people who cut in line would have some new friends waiting to hang out with them as they exit the ride.

These friends even escort these nice people right to their next location. Which is the side of the rode...

If you got out of line to notify a ride op of a line jumping problem then that is ok. On the point of vending machines, the better thing to do is go to the machine before you get too it. That way your going further back into the line when your done, and people tend to let that slide more so then jumping back ahead of the line.

I Think it's okay. I would have been really ticked the second time. He could've asked if you really minded. Psshhh..I would have gave him a sarcastic "Uhh, excuse me!" when I push past him. People like that I just can't tolerate.

From my personal experience with line jumpers while working at Cedar Point and also as a guest, the best and most effective thing to do is yell at the top of your lungs, "Hey everybody, Look at the line jumpers." It gets the attention of the ride hosts, and it embarrasses the line jumpers so much, they'll leave.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

Wow. This is an old topic.

I don't really mind much if it is one person that is line jumping. It isn't like its going to make much of a distance. You will probibly still get on the same train if there wasn't a line jumper. But when one person turns into four, I usually say something. ^I think I'll try that next time.
