Lights out on TTD

Hey guys, I have lurked for a while and finally decided that it would be a good time to post something. I just checked TTD's webcam and it seems as though it is the one ride in the park that is not lit up tonight. Any reasons? I have not seen the lights on it not in the on position at night since they were building it. I will be heading out there from NJ next weekend and i am hoping for my first ride on the thing. It was down the last time i was there. Thanks guys
I'm sure it takes up a lot of electricity to light that whole tower. The park is not open right now so why waste the money to light it?

During the summer I believe they turned them off at around 4 am, but since the regular season ended they have 'em down not too long after the park closes and they're always off during the week. As chris said, I'm sure those big huge lights suck up a lot of power.

Why would they need to test if they put theming back on?. Anyway, Yes...They have ran the train a few times today. I thing they just made some changes on the ride and probably needed to test it to see if everything is ok.

Most of the trains are still sitting outside of the station. They could have them on for a photographers or video for discovery

I highly doubt that.

Has anyone noticed the weird lighting on TTD since they started testing a couple days ago on the web-cams? The top half of the structure is lit only, but what for?

They're not using all the lights. They only use enough lighting to make the tower visable I think.

It's the Holiday Season, The park will be blazing it's lights again if not already, but real shortly. I haven't really had a chance to go down to the lake front to look yet. I was around for Sandusky's downtown lighting this past friday, I saw Dragster all lit up, but it was hard to see even that, it was snowing. They usually light up all the structures visible from a distance every year. It's hard to see on the webcams though.

I'll make sure to stop by battery park or somewhere esle with a good view one of these evenings....I think it'd be cool to see the coasters lit up during a snow shower.

Last Magnum Train of season:2-3

Sometimes, Dragster is lit up at night... webcams suck unless you have the direct URL to load the webcam live at night. Somtimes I can see it lit up... and if you look at the live hotel cam, you can see they turn on some of the big spot lights of Dragster. I don't have a clue why they do that, but apparently, someone keeps flipping the switch.
