Lights at the point

Ok i have been doing these cams and i have noticed that nightly these lights come on, then shut off. I know its probably something stupid but i am just curious. The midway camera says it stops at a certain time, nope its on all night. I sort thru the blackness and get the pics i want. Here is what im talking about.

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

A simple layer of the image with a daytime image shows that they're coming from the direction of the other Sky Ride station, but aren't at quite the right height to be coming from there. They appear, to me, to just be regular midway lights. It's probably just something with the timer they're on.

I think they line up pretty well with the other Sky Ride station in height. I think the lights are the ceiling lights of the west station.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

If it's the other Sky Ride station, just check the "logs" from the Goodtime camera. It points right at it. Does it "go all night" like the Midway cam?

the goodtime cam stops at 8pm and turns back on at 8 am so i really cant tell from that camera

Is it just me, or is there something slighty creepy about the park completely dark like that? Not that it's possible but it would be quite scary to be in the middle of the park with all the lights out like that.

Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004

it's the aliens from another dimention (sp?) and they are invading the midway.......now CP has to catch them and get rid of them.

Add some Christmas lights, open a few flats and coasters that can and I see a cool winter wonderland! :)

For a couple of years I worked the overnight (or partial overnight) shift in landscaping. I'm not sure I'd call it creepy, but when all the lights are off on the Trail or in Frontiertown, and you're the only one back there at 4 a.m., it's certainly a much different place!

During the 2006 Season, I can remember being at Cedar Point really late. We were the one of the last ones to leave and I just remember looking down and seeing LOADS of fishflies EVERYWHERE. Eww. It happens in Detroit too. They were just scattered..

^^ Its a different place walking through there with the lights on during halloweekends with no one else around. There wasn't any fog left at that point but it sure was quiet...

"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"

The picture of when the light is on reminds me of silent hill. That is pretty creepy. Would give pretty much anything to walk around the park this time of year at night.
