Lights and Sound

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if anyone knows if WT will have any of the spinning gobo lights like MF or a sound track in the station. Just think how cool it would be if right before you were launced, the normal lights in the station go down and it's filled with spinning Wicked Twister spirals, then BOOM.

Ahh but that requires theming and we know how much CP likes to do that :P I'm just hoping they'll have flashing lights and a great dance beat in the station, like RR at SFMM.

I hope that WT has lights and sound...but even if it doesn't, CP better still have the lights and sound for MF. I would be very disappointed if they let the "small" amount of theming they did for MF deteriorate. It really creates atmosphere.

Strobe lights would make WT one of the best night rides in the park. Bright strobe lights in the straightaway as the train blows by! Think about it!

As of right now it's kind sterile

No Sound at all, just a autospiel device. I hope they let the ride ops spiel when the train gets back and they ask "how was da ride?". The only thing they say is "recheck harnesses, recheck harnesses , recheck harnesses, recheck harnesses , 321 Launch." It really does not have that exciting feeling in the station, like on MF or Magnum. Nobody clapping before or cheering after.

No music either. I love the suggestion someone made that they should play "twist and shout" in the station.

That stinks! Hopefully they'll reconsider. The spiels are one of the little things that set CP apart in my opinion. The spiel position is supposedly eliminated from Magnum this year as well. There will be 3 people on the load side of the train (the extra to handle the gates/co-dispatch) and only two on unload. Thankfully though, they're going to have a headset for spieling I THINK, and not an autospiel. I think they might it was nice to have that extra person over on unload to deal with special accesses and parent swaps and also to pick up the phone if it rings. Autospiels are the devil though! :)

I sure wish they would play something somewhere down the line. X-Flight has very little themeing, but the atmosphere in the station is doubled because of the music they play there. It was a great surprise to hear Red Hot Chilli Peppers coming back into the station after a great ride, why can't Cedar Point take to that idea. Anything is better than udder silence.

In the ride stations, they usually have people spieling (or an autospiel) so music in the station would be silly if someone is already talking over the mic. Also, if they had music in the WT station, you'd just have the train screaming by every 6-7 seconds so it wouldn't do any good.

i noticed that there was no speil on magnem when i rode it this morning. but the the atmosphere on WT is devenitly lacking something... but it was still a great ride

Agree 110%. The X-Flight Station music is Sweet... That Atmosphere adds so much.

On WT today, One op was trying to yell how was your ride over the dumb autospeil. Only the people in the front of the train heard her and yelled but you could feel the little bit of excitement. People (like me anyway) remember that and gives them good memories and more reasons to return.

The music in the X-Flight station blows. It blows in part because there are like four or five songs, and it blows because they're all so last year (or three to seven years ago).

If you mean when they started playing the Q104 music then yeah, but I loved that techno stuff they had going at one time.

I also noticed the op trying to yell over the speil. I really commend her for doing that, even though only the front half of the train could hear her. Maybe we should just go back to the days where it was 100% live speiling by a ride op?
