LIGHTING EFFECT

I know nothing has been said about how the ride is going to be lite up at night. What is everyones ideas? hopefully they do as well as they did on MF.

With candles.

Actually, it'll probably be a much more subtle lighting than TTD. Probably closer to MF. Lights on the hill, and not much else.

I'm thinking they'll put a lot of yellowed lights around the course of the ride. Crazy technicolor dreamcoat lights work on MF, but I think simple and old-school will prevail with Maverick.

It won't be the chasing multi-colored effects, but I'd be surprised if we see much lighting thats not on the lift or around the launch (possibly some on the lagoon). I think the back half of twists and turns will be sparsely lit, if at all.

It would be cool, in the section that looks like your flying thru the mine shaft to have lantrens (sp?) on the walls as you passed by.

What would be cool is something similar to Goliath.

Not the same color of course, but the same effect.

What happened to the good old white chaser lights on lift hills? Would that be so wrong? My personal favorites are the classic white chasers. Although, I do like the lights for Millennium Force.

I never cared much about the lighting on roller coasters.

I think it would be cool to see some of those fake fires set up along the bottom of the track to give it a glow. The could be based out of metal barrels. Might be too much upkeep for CP though. They are low light, but cool effects. (Sorry, don't know the technical name.)

Given the theme of the ride, any kind of extreme lighting would look out of place. But hey, if they're going to light the track, they should use red lighting since it will be faded to pink by the time it opens.

The less lighting the better for me. This ride will be great at night with all of the twisting going on!

Some lights under water in the pond along with some mist would be cool.

I think this ride is going to be amazing at night.

The only is probally going to be the lift. In the pond and the mine shaft turns or whatever they are.

Remember the lighting update they did over by Skyhawk though... Seems to me it would be nice to carry that over into the otherside of Frontiertown.

they will probably use lighting that will go best with the theme. TTD...counting down christmas tree lighting affect. Since it is only 105 ft tall we probably arn't going to see something amazing like MF hill affect.

I like gotiger1's idea. I think that having lanterns in the mine shafts would be a great idea. I can also see them lighting up the fountain near the horshoe inversions. I still haven't decided if it would be cool to keep the tunnel pitch black, or have some type of lighting effect.

Am I reading that right? Your name is Beef coaster freak?

Does that mean somewhere out there, there is a coaster made of beef?

Wow, there's so many great things that I could say about that, but not one of them has a rating less than "M for Mature", I'm afraid.
