Lighthouse Point Entrance

I was going to stay at lighthouse point this summer and wondered if there was a closer entrance than the one by magnum. I was looking at the getaway guide map and it looks like an entrance between Gemini and Mean Streak. Is that an entrance or an employee building?

That entrance is employee access only. The closest is the Resorts Gate near Magnum. Cedar Point provides transportation, but it really isn't that bad of a walk.

You can also go all the way around to the Oceana gate by walking along the beach past Breakers. It is a long walk, but if you get there before the gates open, you can be among the first people on Wicked Twister. I'm a big advocate of getting to the gate early, running in, and getting one of the big waits out of the way without having a big wait. :) After you ride WT, you can head to the back of the park (which will still be dead) to hit Magnum, Gemini, Mean Streak etc with minimal waits.

As close as we were to the Soak City entrance from LP, my wife and I still drove to the Soak City lot from our cottage. :) We walk enough inside the park, so the little drive was worth it to save some mileage on the shoes.
