Lighthouse Point cottages vs. cabins

Called the CRO today and asked about availability and for a comparison between the two.

As near as I can tell, the cottages sleep up to six people with a fold out futon in the "living room" area, and a double bed and a set of bunk beds in the bedroom. The cottages overlook the lake.

The cabins sleep up to eight people with two fold out futons in the living room area and one double bed in the bedroom. The reservationist told me that there's a "small area off to the side with no bedding" that's designed for two children with sleeping bags to sleep (guess that's how they figure eight people).

In either case there is no tub, but a stand-up shower in the bathroom. She said that because you're in the camping section, there is no housekeeping. You're given a clean set of linens and a set of towels at the beginning of your stay, and they have to last you for the duration.

Finally, the cottages overlook the lake, and the cabins overlook a pool area.

If anyone else has another story or differentiators, please share.
Am I the only one who is on the resort mailing list? I got a price sheet two weeks ago. I just don't have the cash flow to make any reservations.

I pretty much got the same story as DB did on the cabins and cottages although the operator (as I noted in another post) expressed some concern as to whether or not the cabins and cottages will be ready in time for the start of the 2001 season. However, I was told that there was a loft in the cabins for the kids to place their bags in and sleep. We shall see I suppose....

The cabins are just under 400 sq. feet if it helps anyone.
Got mine today. I can't wait until I can sleep less than half a mile away from MF
Does anyone know a rough lay-out of the places?
We got the cabin too. My dad called and said that the cabins and cottages were the same price so he opted bigger. I found that a little bizarre, but hey you know.
