I'm staying at at a LHP cottage next week for the first time and have a couple of questions that I can't seem to find answers to:
- Are any kitchen utensils/plates/cups provided with the cottages? I'm guessing not, but I can't confirm and want to double check before I buy a bunch of disposable stuff!
- Is there a coffee maker - if so - what type of coffee filters did it take (I really need my morning coffee!)
Any tips about how to make the most of the cottages (or cabins) are welcome too!
Thanks!

I've stayed in a LHP cabin twice, and as per MrScott's excellent stories of enjoying the lakeview deck of the cottages I stayed in one this year. There are no kitchen utensils of any kind. There is a small coffee maker complete with coffee, filters, sugar/sweetner, and non-dairy powder creamer. Bring a bathing suit because there is a Camper Village pool and hottub for you to enjoy after a day at the park. If I were you (and I'll do this next time I rent one) I would request a cottage between 10 and 20 because they are at the end of the peninsula near the pier and you can see the lake and bay.
If you like to barbeque you could bring some charcoal and grill up your meat of choice. The deck has 3 chairs on it with a small coffee type table. When we weren't asleep or in the park we were on the deck because the weather was beautiful. I'm sure that you'll have a great time.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I have never stayed in the Cottage but have stayed in the Cabins a few times every year. We always buy plastic utinsils and whatever else we need; but I have to say the best part is having a grill so close to you. If you have a small group with you it is a blast to share a cabin.
