I didnt know until today that there is no bed in the loft area. It says on the CP website that bedding is not provided for the loft area. Bedding to me is sheets, blankets, pillows, etc...Im glad that I found this out before we get there on Friday. So, would a queen sized mattress fit in the loft area? If not, is there anywhere else in the cabin that an inflatable mattress would fit? thank you!

Thanks guys! The lady that I spoke to tonight at the reservations desk told me that only a twin mattress would fit. She didnt seem to sure of herself. I asked her if there was carpeting or wood on the floor since she said we could always take a sleeping bag. She said carpet. Glad that I asked here cause she sure as heck didnt know what she was talking about. I also asked her where we get towels since there is no cabin service and she said just call housekeeping and they will bring some. She said there is a phone in the cabins, somehow I dont think there are phones in the cabins, are there???? Thank you so much. I guess Ill be heading to Walmart to buy a mattress.

There is a phone in the living area next to the TV. If I'm not mistaken there is also one in the bedroom, but don't quote me on that. Also don't quote me on fitting two mattresses in the loft, but I could guarantee you could fit one.

As long as I know one will fit, im fine with that. Thanks. Glad there are phones in the cabins. The girl seemed a little confused about that when I asked her. Thanks again!

If memory serves, the loft area has very little headroom. If you're using a low-profile air mattress, you should be ok, but watch your head when you wake up. And if you've got one of those double height (or whatever) air mattresses, you might run into some serious issues.
Of course, it's been a few years since I've stayed at LHP, so I could be underestimating how much headroom there is up there.

Headroom is limited, but not so much that the space is unusable. For the past 5 years me and my 20+ year old friends have spend closing weekend in a cabin at LHP and for whatever reason we always find ourselves sitting up in the loft when we are actually in the cabin. I'm about 5'11" and sit up no problem up there. One of my friends in about 6'2" or 3" and he may have had to duck his head a bit. The loft is a great little space. I think you'll really find it useful.
