Light House Point new cabins

We'll be staying this coming weekend with out of town family, 10 of us total, in one of the new 'deluxe' large cabins. I understand we'll need basics like paper plates and the like. Has anybody stayed recently? I've seen a post where it was recommended you bring toilet paper? I'd like to assume that CP provides the basics as they do on the other properties.

I would bring everything that you have read about.

Be prepared to feel like a sardine, especially with 10 people. We did a walkthrough one of the new cabins and i felt maybe 2 adults and 4 kids or just 4-6 adults would be the most comfortable....just my opinion of course. I'm 6'4 and my head was almost touching the ceiling (not even fully tip toe to touch). There is a nice ceiling fan in the "living area" which feels great circulating the A/C. The bathtubs are TINY! I told my daughter the bathtub was her size...she is 7. It was nice to see they added some height to the ceiling for the shower though. The upstairs is pretty much for kids, they would love it up there. Mine were wanting to stay there, too pricey for us.

Don't get me wrong, they are VERY nice! Just not what i would call comfortable for 10 people....6 would be the max i would have in there. Definitely post a report of your experience. Hope you have a great time! We will be there for the campout, staying at Hotel Breakers!

The entire area looks great! Like it has always been there!

When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835

^ Thanks JW ! At this point, we're just happy to get to try it out! My out of town(Tennessee) sis-n-law and her brother(local) flipped the bill! His company picnic is Saturday, so they decided to splurge! I'm sure we'll be cramped. 4 adults & 6 teenagers..lol! Hope the a/c works good! To defray their costs, I volunteered for cold cuts, snacks, ice, cups, plates and beverages. I also have enjoyed the Breakers! This will be our 9th & 10th daily visit for 2014. I hope its a great one, as any day at CP should be! But I really hope its special for family memories. My daughter told me we've gone so many times, its not as exciting anymore..lol. I intend to change that thought!!! Maybe we'll hit up Soak City, as we've never done that yet! I'll definitely post about this trip!

Keep passing the fun along!
