Light Crowds

Ok, Realisticly, this isn't one of those Magic 8 Ball questions even I know no one can predict for sure, But I was just wondering, to all you hard core Cedar Point frequent-year trippers, when do the crowds mild down a bit? I know it's when the kids go back to school and such but when around is this time? Thanks for the help:)
Been actually pretty busy the last few days... worse than some of the days in July...

Gemini had a line to the enterance, both sides open.. and all the queue lines open and full yesterday...

- Egg Whites -
MF total - 387 laps
VertiGo Launches - 15
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100

After next week the crowds should die down significantly, and even next week you'll see them start to diminish.

The last week of August is one of the best times of the year to go.  Little to no wait on all rides.  Plus this year they are offering $15 coupon for this week (27 - 31) on the official Cedar Point website.  $24 admission can't be beat.
Now that is what i like to hear... :-) as i am flying over in 2 weeks from UK. To be in CP 1/2 Sept.

Should be quiet yes??? one hopes

For some reason the two times I've gone this year (Both Sundays) My longest wait has been 1 1/4 hour for Mantis. I now love Sundays at the park.

Its kind of sad to see the season winding down, but then again shorter lines!

I like Sunday's too. I was there on a Sunday in July with a "short" 75 minute wait before a breakdown. Raptor was a walk-on with the DJ playing to an empty queue

Thank God for the Raptor's constant 3 train people eater operation!
A FULL Gemini queue? ICK.
OK, I'll explain again...CP will do roughly 40/50% of it's attendance in the Month of August with the majority of the crowds the first three weeks of the month. Today or last Saturday will be the largest crowd of the season. Always the second and third Saturday of August.

The crowds will start to drop off again next week and the last full week of August before Labor Day is the BEST time of the year to go. Check out the CP schedule..If the park closes early it's not because Dick K. is buying everyone a round at Louie's...Also, check out the CP website, I received an email which directed me to the site for $15 off coupons for sometime in late August...didn't bother looking because we have passes.

Hope this helps.

Old Timer Tim

Who is now dusting off his season pass because HE NEVER goes the first three weeks of August!

-----------------

I totally agree with Old Timer Tim, the first three weeks in August were the worst lines i've ever seen in my life....bring on MM and Halloweekends....and no, we aren't going in the Haunted Houses, lol
Sorry CP_Bound i forgot to answer, Yes Labor day too..

:-)

For those scoring at home, Monday this week the cars were parked in the main lot well in front of row 33, which I consider a light to medium crowd. Sill nothing will ever compare to the first week of the season were only 2 rows were filled, and that's no lie! I'm hoping for a crowd that size for Millennium Maina

From what I've heard, Labor Day isn't that crowded. I guess a lot of people like to stay home and watch the telethon...
