I already have opening week scheduled off. I am taking vacation as I do every year.
I hope I can fit in this coaster. I need to exercise in this off season. Sniffle......I do not want CP to close I am going to miss it so much!

CP Man, if my hunch is correct, I won't be able to afford it this time. Although I will definatly try. Skyhawk was fun.

How do we know its just not a slow LSM lift? I mean, they really couldn't put a chain/cable there, I wouldn't think, with the launch running directly under it, could they?

Judging from that leaked video, it looks like the trains will be going up the hill a little bit faster than MF goes up its hill. Although it's impossible to tell how accurate of a representation that will end up being.
Ok, I'm only about 4 hours past my normal bedtime... with an hour and a half left to go. Work is going to be a bear tomorrow. :)

Alright. That makes sense. But can anyone confirm or not my thinking as to why they would select a LSM lift and not a chain/cable system because of the location of the lift?

I supose anything is possible, but it would seem improbable. I would agree that a chain/cable lift doesn't seem to make sense with the mid-course launch directly under the lift hill. However, even if they had the tunnel in a different location, that doesn't mean they would have used a different lift system.

I got to get up at three o'clock for work, so I guess I'll better get to bed. Next time I'm at CP i'll see if I spot anything fishy for project 2008.

Oy... I hope we can kiabosh (did i spell right?) any Project 2008 stuff until at least May 2007.

Adding more to the LSM vs. Chain/Cable conversation: LSMs are the perfect alternative since they themselves are anti-rollbacks. Thus, LIMs could not be used for the lift.
