Layout (atleast what i hope)

this is just a drawing that i did of what i hope the layout is. it might be different but it really cant get too much different than this in my opinion.

Not bad but I doubt the loop.
I really doubt that there will be a loop for a coaster of this type. I'm not saying it's not possible, but most likely will not happen. As far as the rest of your "concept," it looks pretty close to Xcelerator...
Where's the island in that layout? :)

June 28th: LocoBazooka Tour (Sevendust headlining)
July 11th: Korn, Puddle of Mudd, and Deadsy

well sadly, i think that it will be very similar to xcelerator. bunny hills would just screw up the tempo of the ride, which would be built for speed. if there is any air on it, it would be at the end after the overbanked turns before the brakes
That layout, I think is much better than the launch, tophat, brakes rumor. I hope it is at least some more elements than just a tophat.

Yeah I agree. Anything at speeds over 100mph is going to seem short I know, so I'm not so settled on the launch, tophat, brakes ride because anything is going to seem short. In this layout you can't experience the speed at all. Add two overbanks or something and at least you can experience the speed somewhat. If there isn't, I'm still not going to complain.

Oh yes, the huge loop is on my wish list also. Probably from playing too much Extreme-G on the old Nintendo. Nothing like entering one of those vertical loops at 700 m.p.h. ;)
Extreme G3 on Gamecube! That's how I get my fix for loops and speed when I can't get it any other way.. heheh ;)

Thats a great drawing! Similar to what I'm expecting...only I hope it travels over to MF Island. About the loop; it would have to be a really HUGE loop, if this coaster really is 400+ ft. tall. Or there will be very high g's.
I would add some more turns wether just banked or overbanked.

Cedar Point already has plenty of air, I think that there will be a large amount direction changes with a few floater hills.

I think they may go will a really disorienting smooth ride like raptor without the inversions.

*Drool* Intamin banked turns....

I would be more than happy with a layout close to that of Xcelerator. I would not consider that a disappointment at all!

yea me neither, Considering the Height of this thing.

Guess who's back....back again ;)

Well I'm hopeing for a few air time camel backs or a helix would be awesome too.

If you dont Stand for anything , you will fall for everything

I hope it goes straight out, straight up, over the top, straight down, and straight back to the station. That would be cool.

I don't think this will be like Xcelerator at all, this is Cedar Point Guys, they don't copy anything. This coaster is going to be huge and all new, and all American.

Yeah, I agree with Jason, this coaster is going to be for real. I can't see Cedar Point spending who knows how much money for a coaster with one hill. I think there's going to be several cool elements in this coaster, even though I know the ride time isn't going to be all that great. And I don't see a bigger Xcelerator being built, it's not Cedar Point's style to copy rides.
What about Wicked Twister? You think that was a brand new idea? Just a regular Impulse coaster with a "twist". So don't say they don't copy rides. They also "don't build two coasters in two years" either....

"All American", but designed and manufactured by a European firm.

What part of what we've seen so far makes anyone think it's NOT a bigger Xcelerator-style ride?

That fact that the construction is all two straight, parallel lines that run almost all the way back to Iron Dragon. Even if there were going to be more to this ride, where the heck would it go from there? Over the midway into the parking lot? Through the middle of ID? I don't think that's going to happen.
