MF is hands down the best ride I have ever been on, however as many people know, bigger does not necessarily mean better. I refer to another Intamin designed scream machine, Superman:ROS (SFNE). Even though it is not the same height, speed, or isn't as steep, it seems to have a better, more enjoyable layout...
The Slope is placed at a 78 degrees btw.
I would just like to ask if any people here have ridden this scream machine. Many people all over the internet place MF as the best coaster out there, but there is almost as much who would say that SMROS is better!
I would have to say that the layout does look better: More airtime, more hills, more bunny hills, more airtime, more lat g's and even a helix!
I need to ride this coaster to compare it to the almighty MF!!
HAS ANYONE BEEN ON IT?
-Canadian Guy
p.s. MF has only 4 hills filled with airtime..
but they are %$#@ing incredible
Quite a few here have and SROS (NE) is rated better. Basically the airtime of all airtime is SROS.

Yeah just looking at it i can see how it would be a better coaster... just MORE G's!!!
both negative and positive..
MF isnt the best in the world then is it?
Even though Superman:ROS and MF are by the same designer I don't think you should compare the two. MF is about height and never ending smooth speed and power. It has it's own soul. The superman:ROS coasters pack more of a punch in the traditional thrills department. I would say they're more fun. But they just don't take your breath away or give you the same sense of awe that MF always does.
Yeah, I must go experience SROS NE the two are similar, but are like comparing apples and oranges. Two different rides going for two different things. SROS airtime, MF speed and height.
Actually, they are made by the same company, and not the same designer.
Okay, I'll bite...
If S:ROS wasn't designed by Werner Stengel, then who designed it?
--Dave Althoff, Jr.
Who notes that Stengel designed at least three (probably more) of the "New-For-2000" coasters in Ohio, including both Millennium Force and Son of Beast...
I would guess the Stengel designed four in OH last year: MF, SOB, BKF, SUE

So then I think I would like SMROS (NE) better than MF... cuz i think that the best park about hypers is the airtime.
How would you describe the airtime on SMROS (NE)? Is it more like MF or Magnum??
(I thought MF's airtime was 100x better)
like do you get thrust into airtime, or is it like MF, where its like alot of seconds of airtime at once.
Cuz if it's the latter, id go with MF.
p.s. canada's tallest coaster is 132 feet...
oh and i forgot to say, its not like comparing apples and oranges...
comparing apples and oranges would be like comparing stealth to MF...(or a looper...raptor?)
there both Intamin hyper/giga... i think there comparable..
I only made that comment, because if he would have desined them, then he would be credited with them as well. Then we could also proclaim him the god of all coaster designers too. ;)
I wouldn't say the airtime on the SROS coasters are like MF or Magnum. Where Magnum sort of flings you into the restraint and MF has a sustained float(which is splendid) the ROSteels throw you into the air. The second hills of the layouts are floaters, but not matching MF, after that the middle sized hill and the bunnyhops just throw you into the sky. You are out in the air when you begin cresting the hill and don't seem to touch down until the train levels out. In fact once at Darien Lake sitting in the very back we concluded we were still a bit in the air when the breaks caught the train at the bottom of the final bunnyhop. I still cannot say that MF is less or more of a brilliant ride.
