Launch... Up... Tophat... Down... Brakes?

Ok wtf is this TA2K?
thrust air 2000,

Regarding the top hat:

The tower that is going up will for sure house a top hat, considering there is not other type of element that can fit in such a tight width and large height.

I belive that eventhough this coaster will excede the speeds of xcelerator it will pull up to verticle at the same rate as xcelerator and will hold the verticle slope longer before making the 180.

From the new pictures on virtual midway and the construction pictures of xclerator on twisted rails the joints on the supports that will connect to the track come closer and closer together as the track becomes closer to verticle. (picture-over 3 down 5)

This will also not be a clone since the tower structure would prohibit the ability to run an overbank through the top hat, and plus this isnt a six flags.

Bird of Prey00. Thanks! For once someone agrees with what I've been saying all along. I went to the Point this afternoon and here's what I envision. An "L" shaped structure (that's all, no elements going on to the island). Could you PLEASE post your ideas on pg.21 of the Track sighted forum. This would be appreciated. Alot of the stuff I predicted in my pg.18 post of that thread is coming true.
Have you ridden Xcelerator?

So, because Virtual Midway has something shaded that means that construction is going to happen there? Heck, I can shade my navel and nothing's going to be built in there!

Why would they have heavy machinery back there unless they were going to have some kind of construction back there?

To keep the park looking semi-clean during Halloweekends. Why not hide the construction equipment on a heavily wooded island then leave them in plain sight? I really don't think anything is going to be built on the island. It would be really nice, but I doubt it.

But there is still construction equipment in the Area 51/footers area, which is, of course, in plain sight. It's not like ALL the equipment is on the island. Also, with the amount of construction/land clearing going on right next to the midway, I don't think moving all the equipment to the island would make it look any "cleaner".

Yeah I guess not... it was just a thought.

They could always put up a 20 foot wall this time.
CPBound, I can assure you there will be no elements/ tracks/ hills or any other construction on Millenium Island dealing with this new ride. Some of you will be disappointed then because I do think it will be a "launch, up and back down the tower to station ride. Believe what you will. Construction equipment is only on the island currently to be "hid" amongst trees (I agree Petree) and to dam the lagoon in 2 places to be drained temporarily because they just had to install a new metal dam along the shoreline so the area could be filled in with dirt where PWE boats used to be stored. This is needed for the new ride's footers.
What are your sources, and why does every single person, including people "In The Know," disagree with you?

Just because there isn't footers on the island now, doesn't mean there won't be in the future. Heck they are still pouring footers for the area leading up to Area 51!

Heck, there might be "in the future", not for this new ride though. If you're expecting track going over to the island from this new ride, you are going to be VERY disappointed. I don't care about "people in the know" disagreeing with me, after going to the CP and following their new ride construction projects there for 26 years now, I think I might know just a tad little bit more than some others on the board (not saying I know everything). Not trying to flame you or be disrespectful but I'm giving you the info. you wanted, ok?

So you're going by pure observation and making predictions on previous construction? That sounds like a good plan, especially since CP is building two big coasters in a row, which has never happened before. They also are shattering the height record this year, not in an 11 year cycle like the last 3 times (which I believe was pure coincidence). It seems that looking to the past to try to form patterns just went out the window...

He can't even base his opinions on observations, because he still doesn't have a way to refute the fact that there are fixed brake runs in the parking lot...

I'm going to laugh so hard at CPfan when footers start being poured for the sections of the ride other than the launch/pullout. And then I'm going to laugh even harder when they start pouring footers on the island. ;)

Dude, you are WAY TOO SURE of yourself going by strictly observations and historical knowledge.

yeah, why would they work on the island (or anywhere else for that matter) before the end of the season? they'd pretty much have to shut down MF to do it, and i doubt they'll do that before the end of the season. it'd be impractical to work on the island during the week, then 'clear the site' for the weekend.

at least from what i saw today...the site (like any construction site) is a total mess. but they are screwing with us. that white/red connected peices are so obviously place to show off.

While at the park this past weekend, I have seen footers to support my theory (and I know it's others as well) that we're possibly looking at a very short course. The footers that have been poured, or haven't yet been poured but marked are in two parallel lines: A launch and brake run. I will change one of my initial ideas of no bunnys though. With the help of No Limits, I went through and tested some possibilities, and it is feasable to have a much larger (longer actually) "MF station bunny hop" immediately after the pull-out, which would provide some very nice (possibly too much) air-time, but then I think it would coast into the brake run. But I still think none of this ride will go on to the island, or anywhere else for that matter.

Very doubtful for a L-T-B layout... It would seem like a waste of time and money to put in something similar to S:TE, and only throw in a different element - a circuit... It be something
