Launch G-Forces

So, in a funny little debate on BGW Fans about the G-Forces during the 2nd launch on Verbolten being almost as high as the G-Forces during the launch on Top Thrill or Kingda Ka...

Dragster goes 0-120 in ~3.8 seconds.

120mph = 176 ft/s

176 ft/s / 3.8s = 46.32 ft/s/s

46.32 / 32 = ~1.44g

Verbolten's top speed is 53 mph (77.73 f/s).

We know it needs to have an acceleration of about 46.35 f/s/s to match TTD's acceleration, but it's doing that with a lower top speed. So, plug the numbers in an solve for X.

77.73f/s / X = 46.32 ft/s/s

77.73/46.32 = X

1.67 = X

So, if Verbolten is going from 0-53 in ~1.67 seconds, then it'll match TTD. That's IF it comes to a complete stop prior to launch. Any kind of rolling stop will obviously change that value.

After watching a quick POV, it doesn't seem to be nearly that quick. The second launch seems to take around 2.5 seconds, and that's with the train rolling into it too. If anything, the first launch seems a bit stronger.

Ya I thought that was strange how it is rolling on both launches. I would much prefer it to come to a complete stop. But then again, Maverick kinda rolls, right?

With maverick I assume its supposed to roll but Ive stoped just as much as not through the tunnel probally just depends on the location of the other trains

Yes it does. Maverick's launch tunnel serves the same purpose as a MCBR such as on Raptor, Mantis, and Mean Streak.
