Launch equipment: Location?

I've been thinking that so far, that without an obvious location for the launch equipment "room" showing up so far during the construction, do you think that the equipment might be located near the station? I think there might be some advantages to having the "room" near the main computer for the ride, the station, etc... The only thing that would be necessary in order to place the room here is that the cables would have to pull a 180 at the base of the tower, (where the train disengages from the sled) and the proceed along side of the launch and into the room. With all the technical jargon out of the way, do you think this is a possibility?

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I may very well be since I'm just going by what I've seen in pictures, but isn't there still a mysterious gap in the ground supports in the area leading up to the pull up? If so, that seems like an awfully good place to put this... It really doesn't take up as much space as many may be picturing, Knotts just built a fairly large room around it. Even if CP were to build around it like at knotts, I think there still is plenty of room in between the supports for a building with track going overhead.

if it works like the launches on carriers i think the cable holding the sled will go over a pully and the end of the run and then run back under the track to the hydraulic machine. kinda like a long fast moving closeline. a bigger badder version of the cable launches on the power tower. I THINK.

that is probably the machine i am thinking of florida.

that pic shows the pully and all

That's exactly why I'm asking, but what we really want to be looking for is a support like in that photo... the one with a hole in it for the cables to run through...

FloridaCoasterRider is right. The launch system will probably be housed in a yet-unbuilt structure that will be located near the midway end of the PWE shortcut. Two pieces of evidence: 1) Assuming that the ride is somewhat symmetric, the pullup would begin in this area, as the pullout ends in roughly the same location, thus meaning the end of the straightaway. 2) There were markings, rectangular in layout, in this location, that were large enough for a medium sized building.

I'm not sure, there were some pretty big footers being poured in that area of the station...unless the station is going to be that huge, I'd think that it would be for the building, but it could also be build further down the straightaway.
