Latest From Screamscape

Aparently there was a lot of buzz at coastermania this past weekend. Here are Screamscapes latest rumors (and I stress the word "rumors") I realize most of this is old news, but they seem to be solidifing their previous claims.

Whitewater Landing will be removed at the end of this season.

(2005) Next year’s attraction will either be a Huss Giant Frisbee, or something very similar like the Intamin Gyro Swing. This does not rule out the possibility of another new flat ride elsewhere in the park as well.

(2006) Not only may the next coaster be a B&M Flyer, but they may take an idea from Universal Orlando and ask B&M to build a pair of Dueling Flyers.

Hmmm... Sounds sexy...

Cool, BUT STILL A RUMOR! AND STILL ANNOYING AS HELL TO HEAR REPEATED!

How Cool!! I was wondering out of all the 3 water rides, which is the least popular? SRF, TC, or WWL??

Once again here we go talking about ride removal.I know they are
necessary for park expansion and upgrading but I wish they would
be more careful as to what they remove.Now dont get me wrong I am
in favor of a new coaster or some thrilling new ride but the removal
of WWL is a mistake and here is why I think so.
Take into the consideration of the younger crowd at CP.They have
three water rides there and only WWL can accomidate families with
young childen(myself included in that group).SNF and TC are set for
48" and taller where WWL is 46"or a responsible person which would allow my
4 year old to ride(as long as I am considered responsible).
This saturday is going to be his first time to Cedar Point and looking
to it(as I as as well).I just hope that this rumor is untrue and they decide to
keep WWL.Let the kids have a few "thrill"rides for them to enjoy and allow them
to go on "big kids rides".Just my 2 cents.
P.S if you see some crazy mixed up guy going nuts there saturday its probably

Screamscape has a history of being wrong...

Screamscape also has a history of being the first to ever post ANYTHING about ANYTHING, and have it turn up right, or near-right. ;)

From the scuttlebutt I have heard, the free standing row of games are going to be removed near kiddie-land and a Giant Huss ride will be going in there. (I personally think a Delerium type ride would be perfect.)

There will also be an upgrade to the games facade down the rows.

I have not heard anything about WWL leaving.

Of course, this is just rumours. We will find out in about 4-5 weeks, hopefully.

CP needs a flume, period. Removing WWL would be a mistake, that is unless it is going to be replaced with another flume.

Dueling flyers is an interesting idea, but they'll need a whole lotta room to do it right. The WWL corner of the park is ideal for this, however.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

TTDSam... You didn't have to read it... I said they were rumors.

The only way i can see CP removing WWL would be to replace it with a water coaster. It is one of the stapple atractions of Frontier Town, and its a popular ride. Also IMO every park needs a flume type ride. I would much rather see TC go and put the flyer there. Yeah its a bit smaller place, but it would make for a unique ride.
