Last 4 seats empty today

The ride opened today and all the trains had the last four seats empty.

This of course cut back on the roll backs but as usual the ride shut down every hour or so like it always does.

It works great for 60mins and then it goes dead. Than they do the launch reset and all that and sometimes it works again after 20mins or so but not today.

Once they get that issue worked out the ride will be working good.

Im not complaining cause ive been very lucky to ride it 9 times.

Just thought Id let you know about the empty seats.

Yeah, I noticed when it was testing on the 5th, that when they launched a train with only employees in the front, it made it over fine. When they filled up the train completely, it rolled back. I'm not sure what the problem is either, but I know it has to be a little more complicated than just turning the power up a notch to make sure it goes over...

The last 4 seats are empty today as well. Hopefully during the offseason, they will remove the seats and put the themeing back on.

If the last four seat are going to remain closed, why not remove the entire last car after the ride closes for the day. Why wait for the off season for such a minor adjustment. I do agree putting the theming back on would be sweet.

Yea, The extra weight on the back causes rollbacks. I do think its because it has been hot lately. Thats why it was down, They were installing a cooling system. Yesterday they were running a generator for that cooling system i think. It was giving off fumes like crazy. I got dizzy waiting in line for 2 hours. But around 5 or so, It started rolling back like crazy. So it went down, They kept running it even if there were rollbacks. I didnt understand why they kept running it. Anyway, They finally shut it down and put some paste on the sled and started watering down the sled. After about an hour of flooding the launch with water. They launched the first train and from then on it went good.

Ok... so if they would take off the last train, and the 4 seats, why would they add the themeing back on? It would just mean even more weight.

I was there today and was on the red train when it had a rollback. It was pretty fun. It was right after a 15 min shutdown. But that is obviously why the last 4 seats were empty

They watered the sucker down around 3pm, as well.

Is the water supposed to be some make-shift cooling system?

That would be my guess, the ride went down around 7:15pm last night. I have never seen this happen before though. The train was ready to peal out, and the dragster peel out is heard from the speaker, but nothing. The train just sat there and then a mechanic went to the hydraulic building. I left soon after that, but it must have been fixed by the status page. That's why I think two obvious problems now are the sled, and hydraulics. Before it went down, it was doing a pretty darn good job of moving trains around the track.

So lets see, if this is preventing rollbacks, but letting less people on the ride, how does it affect capacity? Basically, is the line any longer now?

The line moves pretty fast when the ride doesnt go down. They said the wait was 3 hours and we wounded up waiting like a little over an hour and a half. But then we waited alot more once the ride overheated and started rolling back.

I don't think the excat theming will be back on this year, the wheels fell off and went bounding through the park. They are probably going to have a new design or figure out how to get this coaster to work right the way it is.

I had noticed from videos I have (and from seeing it with both 4 cars and five) that it seemed to have an easier time going over with the 4 cars. So it wasn't just my imagination...lol.

It will increase capacity because there arent so many rollbacks. Every time it rolls back the line doesnt move for 5-10 minutes. So even with four less people on every train it should increase capacity because of less rollbacks.

This of course doesnt help with the other reasons the ride shuts down.

I thought by adding another car there would be more weight. As someone said, with more weight the train makes it over more easier. I guess not if they aren't filling these seats now. So it was pointless to add the car besides the attempt to increase capacity?

What I don't get is the fact that when a rollback does occur, the computer brings back the train at such a slow pace. I wonder if it can be re-adjusted so that there isn't as much downtime...

I didn't get a chance to go to the park today but it appeared on the webcams when I checked around 7pm that they were loading the last car again. Maybe they figured it had just as many rollbacks. In that case, they need to find a safe way to reattach the spoilers and wheels on the trains. That would really kick a$$.

as of today they were loading all of the cars.

and.. take this for what you will. but, A client of mine works for a manufacturing company that is making the new "smoke theming" to make it look like the trains are smoking tires which WILL be added on to the black cages on the back of the last train at some point. they are gonna use. co2 for it and it sounds as if it COULD maybe be on the trains.. but He was not sure.. I think it will be on the launch track as it was.. so who knows but,, it looks as if the theming has not been forgotten.. this is legit too..

Time spent waiting for those rides= 33.5 hours.

Whats wrong with how they currently do the smoke? All that putting it on the train would do is add more weight to the trains, and make it so they have to fill 6 tanks of whatever they use to make the smoke and the number of times that they would have to re-fill the now smaller tanks.
