I could have sworn I've heard somewhere that Geauga Lake has the largest waterpark in Ohio. I saw an advertisement for the Beach Waterpark in Mason, Ohio (across from KI) and their ad says theirs is the largest. After visiting their website, I would have to tend to agree.
My question is this...was Geauga Lake originally planning to have more at WWK than they presently do? They would need a lot more attractions for them to say they're bigger than The Beach.
Yes, there was originally more plans for 2006. They were all cut except for the wave pool.

that rendering still doesn't show it being the biggest. I could sware that both Disney waterparks, Noah's Ark, and Shlitterbawn (sp) are much...much...much larger.
Noah's Ark is "America's Largest Waterpark" but only because the Schlitterbahn property in New Braunfels is split into to parks, if they were connected they would have the largest track of land.
And the Disney Parks appear to be larger then they actually are because they both contain a "mountain."
I believe the original post contained the words "in Ohio". I didn't think Disney or Schillerbahn had parks in Ohio.
I wouldn't pay much attention to claims anyway, sometimes bigger parks don't translate into better parks. Unless you are talking about Kalahari's additions. But The Beach Waterpark is great for the money if you are trying to decide between the two.
Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!
