Lapel Pins

I met Sparty in the park tonight and when we got off Millennum Force they were selling the lapel pins at the kiosk at the MF exit. We got WT, MF, Magnum, Raptor, Jr. Gemini, and Gemini.

Its great we got the pins, I hope that they will have them for all of the coasters I will definatly buy 2 of each.

All we need to do now is to convince Greg that we need Wicked Twister, Millennium Force, Power Tower, Mine Ride, Disaster Transport, Woodstock Express, and Corkscrew patches to name a few.

Speaking of patches a certain someone got me a Gemini 100 patch. :)

Pins? Dang. I missed that tonight.

I'm addicted to Disney pins, so I guess I can be addicted to CP pins too! According to some folks at Tinkler's Toys last year there were lots of park guests coming in and asking if they had pins. Maybe Cedar Point realized they could make money off of them... finally.

Damn it! Had I known this this all of this BS with european-cstr-bound could have been avoided.

I bought them all too, well at least the ones they were selling at Twister. They were MF, WT and Raptor. $4 each can get expensive.

Disney is making a mint off that program. There are people who go to the park strictly to buy and trade pins...they don't go on any rides!

Many of their season/annual pass holders go every day b/c they have a "pin of the day" and you can't get it unless you go. Pretty shrewd campaign if you ask me.

For the folks who think $4 is expensive for pins, visit Disney. They're $6.50!

I made a trip to CP yesterday for the express purpose of buying these pins. MUCHO thanks for the heads-up Dan!

Disney targeted my kids for that. I had at least 5 or 6 cast members ask my kids if they had pins to trade. I would't let them do it. CP is another story. The kids look at the coasters as huge personal victories. I never say no to an on ride photo if it's their first ride. I thought the patches were cool, but the pins are cooler. I would let them buy'em.....My daughter took her MF photo from last weekend to school for show and tell. The pins will be a nice touch.

Michael Darling it looks like you took a page out of my notebook. I had thaught about making a 45 minute trip just to get the pins on Thursday but I was sick with a bad cold and a slight fever. Had I been in good health, I would have gone out there to get them and then came right back home. Thank god season passes allow us to do wacky things like this. They aren't running out of the pins I hope?? I plan on going on on Tuesday to get them since its my next scheduled off day.

I have been waiting for CP to jump on the pin bandwagon. I'm a Disney pin collector too. I found them at WT kiosk but not in the gift shops yet. $4.20 each. Didn't seem to be running out or selling many.

Got mine today. They look good and like Dan said hope they make one for each coaster.

They lowered the prices a little to 3.96. I bought all 6 yesterday. You can now purchase them at the Pangodia as well. The cashier told me that they are suppost to be getting more in of ALL the coasters, so we will have a complete set. Keep your eyes on them, she did not say when they are suppost to get the rest in.

Hehe..glad you liked the patch, I know a certain someone else who did me a big favor that drives a green SUV that deserves a freebie too. Jo and Hooper have Gemini 100 patches too, next time I see them :) Let me know if you want a Magnum lap one :>

Who's Gonna Razz Dan til He Posts Again!

Could someone please do me a huge favor?

I won't be able to make it to the park for at least a few weeks. I was wondering if someone could buy all 6 pins for me then ship them to me? I will pay for all of em (+ a little more) and shipping.

So if anyone could help me out, that would be great.

I finally saw the pins when I was there Sunday & Monday. Different from the originals. I still have the ones for Magnum, Iron Dragon,Raptor & Disaster Transport when they were new.
