Lakeview Suite

The best I can tell, there are only 2 room types on the 9th floor of the tower. Standard 2 queen room and the Lakeview suite. My question is, are the lakeview suites only on the beach side of the hotel? I'd like a suite. But, I'd also like a view of the park.

I know for breakers east, lakeview just faces the beach. I think the same holds true for the tower as well although Ive never stayed that high before.

Jason, you can solve your problem by moving up a floor to the Presidential Suite. ;)

Worrying about views in places where you don't generally do a lot of viewing strikes me as odd. The only place I've ever cared about the view was in Hawaii, where I knew I'd be eating breakfast in my room, and drinking wine at the end of the night.

Well, I'm not worried. But, if I get a choice I'd take a park view over a lake view simply for the photo opportunities. Either way, I'm getting the Lakeview suite because of the size.

At $1,212 I think I'll pass on the presidential suite. I with I had so much money to waste that I could get the presidential suite. :)

This thread has me thinking about dropping $300 to stay in Breakers on opening weekend instead of my trusty $80 cabin at KOA. Decisions...

When you book your room, make sure you specify that you want a good view of the park. Most of the rooms at Breakers have gorgeous views whether you want a park view or lake view...and then there are the ones that are downright awful views period! One year we stayed, we looked out of our window and all we saw were 2 brown walls on both sides of the window that were angled just enough that they would meet if it weren't for the 2 foot wide space between both walls big enough to look through that revealed the lift hill of corkscrew.

Try staying on the second floor of breakers east or tower looking out over the tops of other building with bird doo doo and a few dead gulls. Makes you wish you could open those windows up!

Jason...when you make your reservation, request the 9th floor....room numbers 9232 or 9234 (regular lakeview suites) are facing out towards the park (Raptor, WT, parking lot) plus it still is an excellent view of the beach and pool.

Insert any floor number for the first digit of the room number...then 232 or 234..so 8th floor would be 8232 or 8234....10th (Concierge Floor) only has one regular suite facing that direction (10232) since the Presidential Suite is a Horizon plus a regular suite combined into one room.

Stay on the 7th floor or higher or your view of the park may start to get obstucted by the old section of Breakers/Rotunda. Been in those rooms multiple times because the kids like the pool view and the rides as well.

There are 2 other rooms on each floor facing that direction, 9230 is the handicap accesible suite and 9236 is the Horizon Suite.

Do those suites in the tower have a balcony? The diagram of the room layout shows one, but I can't recall ever seeing any balconies on that tower.

Edit: Never mind, just saw a pic on the website showing the balconies.
