Usually they go away in a few days, when they have time to spread away from the nest they hatched from.

Let me tell you, it's a whole lot of fun to have the track covered in these things, or mayflies, or muffleheads (whatever the season may be) and start up the ride in the morning. The first thing you have to do is home the train, which pulls it out of the station slowly, then back in slowly... just creating a huge storm of bugs throughout the entire station.
So, yeah... you can imagine what the front seat looks like when we start launching the train for light curtain and quick-stop tests. It's disgusting. So, if you're ever waiting at WT in the morning and have to wait longer after we're done doing test runs, it's because we're cleaning bug guts from the front seat... stop complaining about the extra 5 minutes you have to stand there. ;)

I don't remember the beetles though... when was this? I wasn't there right away b/c of school. Hmm... Oh well... Time to make me a cool signature that says what I've been on :-D

I seen some japanese beetles at Cedar Point, but not in swarms.
