My family is thinking about renting a condo 5 minutes away from the point over labor day weekend for 4 days. I have a few questions.
#1 Are you allowed to walk to the park? Is there away around the car toll booths? Also will they get mad if I walk all the way around to the soak city lot on I think perimiter road?
#2 How busy is it Labor Day weekend? Im not really worried since ill be there for 4 days but I just want to have an idea for what to do.
#3 I have Joe Cool and I have never been to the point for more than 1 day at a time. Should I try a different ride for ERT every day? Like should I do Maverick 2 days in a row then Mille the next then Raptor? (I dont like Skyhawk.)

Let's Get Weird.
#1 - you can walk up the chausee. No, you cannot walk around perimeter road.
#2 - Its weather dependent. But with Michigan and Ohio(?) going back after Labor Day, it will probably be fairly busy at least on Saturday, if not Sunday.
#3 - That's entirely up to you.

Not quite.
You can snag the shuttle bus. There are phones over by Pet Chek and the Marina. You can walk to the marina (or even the marina gate) but that is as far as you can go.

When my parents took us and didn't go to the park they were refunded at the exit. They had to leave within a certain period of time though.
You can also walk to the Marina entrance, which is nearly as close as the Magnum entrance without all the hassle of grabbing a bus, there is also a much smaller line to get in there.
^ - I guess it depends on what you're going to....but the Magnum entrance is by far closer to TTD, Magnum and Maverick.

^Magnum and TTD yes, but then those arent open for JC ERT. Maverick, its pretty close since you are already on the "right side of the triangle" is it further, yes but is it so far that I would suggest getting on a bus to Soak City (which will take at least 20 mins) and braving the larger lines at the Magnum entrance? Nope. Infact if it wasnt for the fact that I get to avoid the main parking lot and I always end my day at Magnum I would using the Marnia entrance too.
Yeah, when factoring in the lines back there, it is the second busiest entrance, and could take some time to get through.
So, is there a wardrobe at the Marnia entrance? ;)

^aka the Millennium Entrance its located right in between the Antique Cars and the Dodgems and the Good Times Theater. To access it from the main entrance, walk past the picnic pavilions and you'll come along a pedestrian path, follow it and it will lead you directly to that gate.
Heres a link to the CP map too so you can visualize it:

"AKA the Millennium Entrance?" I've never heard it called that. It's not even anywhere near Millennium Force.
^back in 2000 half the people we talked to called it that, I dont know if its gone out of favor now but when we first discovered that entrance thats what some people called it because it was the closest entrance to MF.
Perhaps the name didnt stick, but I wanted to throw it out there since this park is also home to the the Soak City/Magnum/Resort entrance and the Boardwalk/Beach entrance.
If you want to ride Maverick for early entry you should go to the Magnum entrance. I believe that you can ride the resort shuttle to the Magnum entrance from the front gate area. Just make sure you get to the Magnum entrance by about 8:30 and then run to Maverick and you will have the shortest line all day :).
I would recommend taking at least one early entry day and going in the Marina entrance and doing a MF marathon. Have fun on your trip!
