Here's a possibility of what a Launch-Tophat-Brakes version of this coaster might be.

Just a little fun in Illustrator and Photoshop. I have to admit it was a little tight trying to make the lagoon side "brake run" match up with the already in place track. It didnt make an arch as nicely as the launch side. This says to me that it is either a trick of perspectives or that the track actually has to come down farther off the tower and thus not meet up with the already installed "brake run" supports. I guess we will have to wait. Sorry about all the edits. This was a pain to get the picture up for some reason.

That's a pretty nice Photoshop job, sigma one! I think that will turn out to be a VERY accurate representation of the top hat (of course it's missing a few catwalks and you can't really tell the twist in the track, but overall it looks great). That looks to be a well-proportioned height and well-proportioned "track above supports". The only things it's missing are transfer track and station(s).

Uh, curved track for the top hat would NOT have a support connector - have you seen Xcelerator's top hat?
Says who? Xcelerator was also built with Wicked Twister-style support towers, and this one clearly is not. There are no "rules" for something like this aside from "make it strong enough so it doesn't fall down."

Edit: now that I look at it, I see what he was saying - since that far piece of track of convex, it has to be for either a bunny hop, hill of some sort, or top of top hat connected to the supports, none of which sigma one has in the picture. Nonetheless it looks good. :)

1. Where in the real world is there a L-TH-B coaster? I would really be interested in if it has been done before because I agree with a lot of you that this seems like such a waste of kenetic energy after coming back down from a height of more than 300-400 feet.
2. I know this has been brought up before, but with a project name like "Dragster", it certainly seems that it will be some type of "dueling" launch coaster with two trains or cars. However, the twisting track that is on site would certainly indicate that it will NOT simply go straight up and then back down. How about an Xcelerator syle top hat but with the two trains PASSING each other at the top before going back down and into other elements and/or simply stopping?
