Knotts version to have a giant K on top

Yet Cedar Point's is a generic top?

I believe their Observation tower (which is being torn down to build WS) had a giant K on it to begin with. They would likely have caught a lot of flak if they didn't keep/replace it.

Knott's is just taking the K off the soon to be demolished observation tower, then they are going to pop on the K to the top.

cedar point= Giant "C" on top

kings island= Giant "K" also

Canada's= Giant "C"

Knotts= "K" already planned

See the pattern with C's and K's? ha ha :)

So are you saying we should expect one for Carrowinds and Kings Dominion?

This is why you should spend more time on your homework. I see your typing skills are slipping as well ;) (He's my son before anyone jumps on me) .

I still think we could see changes in "decoration" between now and opening day. Maybe it was just easier to use the same rendition on all the sites for now.

We should all know by now that the computer renditions are not necessarily an exact copy of what will be seen at the park.

Let us not forget that there is also an "impressive lighting package" that will be added.

Which just made me think...imagine riding this puppy at night high above the park! In the words of Cartman...sweeet.

^Hopefully they maintain the lighting package. It's depressing to see so many rides with half the lights burned out. Giant Wheel has noticeable gaps where lights don't work. The lights on the underside of Skyhawk's swings are only about half lit up. Most of the rides in Planet Snoopy and Kiddie Kingdom have entire banks of lights that don't work, just to name a few that stick out in my mind. It starts to remind one of a travelling weekend carnival at the county fair, instead of a major amusement park.

In a good way, though. Hey, windseeker wont be getting robots, blacklights, and worn out colored paint jobs.........:)

I think its a perfect spot to have an Alien themed scare zone for next years HW. :)

It depends on how well the theme of it is carried out. Maybe something like a Syfy theme. Like a abandond milatary test site, with toxic chemical spills, alliens, men in hazmat suits. Stuff like that. Not much of a jump out of your skin haunt, more of a creepy eerie feel.

A crashed UFO spills space fluid everwhere. People start to breathe it in and become crazy and start to turn into weird space aliens. 1/2 man 1/2 alien walking around crazy while the government has hazmat suits trying to get it cleaned up. I'm sure if they wanted to, they could make it scary.

They already have the crashed UFO. :)

I agree. If they are going to do a lighting package, it should be maintained for the life of the ride. It is sad to look at older pictures of Millennium Force's hill at night and compare them to what it looks like now. They stopped using some of Dragster's tower lights too, although Dragster still looks good at night. Hopefully they will get some experience with light upkeep as the Starlight Experience ages, but that might just take away some of the manpower available to fix other lighting issues that arise.

There is no lighting at the top of Power Tower right now. Earlier this year there was some. They really let the lighting on PT go down hill.

Yeah, remember when Power Tower use to have the cycling colors? That was SO cool. Fading from one color to the next. They should bring that back for 2011 with some LED upgrades on it (along with Millennium Force's lift hill). Light up the skyline next year!

It's the Cedar Fair way to put in a ride with cool effects. Then they just let them go after the first year.
