Knex Recreation

Millennium

I made a recreation using knex. I used two Screaming Serpent Packs and half of the Rippin Rocket Set. Thain at the top of the hill is just to prevent rollbacks because it will mess up the launch system if the train came backwards.

Launch Section. The Rubberband is hooked the last car of the train.

It could, but I like dragster more. So i recreated it. I just added the second hill to slow down the train and because i had tons of peices. The color i had no choice on because it was the only colors i had. I should spray paint it though.

It Took 2 days of work from about 9AM to 9PM. The Hardest part was building a launch system that worked. That took about 3 hours itself. *** Edited 9/1/2006 3:57:29 PM UTC by Millennium***

I'd like to see a video of this in action! How does the launch system work? A few years ago I made an attempt at Dragster and it was pretty much a total failure. I got creative though, I used a drill as the launch system, haha. This looks great though.

i wouldnt spray paint it..youd basically be throwing away k'nex, it would seriously gunk up the pieces and you wouldnt be able to use them again. Plus if you didnt have a certain type of paint made for plastics then the spray paint wouldnt spread evenly and you would get small spots that the paint doesnt even cover. :-/

I did it and it worked real well. But yes it should only be done if you plan to keep your model the way it is for a long time. And if you do decide to paint it, you will have to use plastic enamel spray paint.
