"A major Ohio theme park fined due to safety issues"....coming up next
heard this while watching the news this evening-
of course I was thinking please dont be CP!!!
It wasn't......phew
Apparently there are some safety issues in regard to the safety of the construcion crew on SOB.
PKI got slapped with a fine and said that despite this they plan on having SOB completed by April opening day....
I dont know about you guys but I consider the MF crew my "heros"!!!

From what I understand there are about a million applicable OSHA rules when working on tall things like that. You'd think they would be extremely careful given the high profile (pun intended) of the ride construction.

It's probably unrelated, but there was a story on the news here a few weeks ago that showed that one of SOB's hills was damaged by high winds. From the video they showed, it appeared that the top on one of the hills was blown off.
The two are actually very related. It's because of the high wind incident that caused OSHA to investigate the SOB project.
And to beat Jeff to the punch, this topic should really be discussed over in the PKI forum at www.coasterbuzz.com :)
