Just Don't Respond...

This isn't really a topic, it's just more of a statement. You can respond to it if you want to, but it's not really necessary.

If someone puts up a topic that you don't agree with, and you think that it is immature, then just don't say anything at all. The person that wrote it (only God knows why) will only get off on replies. It is just fuel to their fire.

So what do I suggest? It's simple. DON'T REPLY. If we all do this, then there will be a new definition for discouragement: Zero replies. Just don't say anything and eventually, and hopefully, people will realize that negative posts about moderators and fellow members aren't necessary, and falling upon deaf ears.

I know this topic could be in General, but you know what, Area 51 is the most hardcore out of them all. And I'm proud to say that I post in Area 51.

And by the way, Jeff. I think you're doing better than I ever could, so just keep it up.

Scottie - I agree with you 100%. It would be interesting to see how many posts someone like "Worked42Days" would send in a thread like last night's if there was nobody responding to him at all. He'd be talking to himself!!

i agree 100%... if you don't like something, why are you wasting your time talking about it? and speaking of closing topics... what's with closing every topic that has to do with height, speed, etc. isn't that what this place is for?

Topics on height, speed, etc are closed because we like folk who read enough to find the 14 topics already covering those subjects ad nauseum. Ooh, wait--this is the 'don't respond' thread. I ain't said nothin' to ya. :)

Does anyone else note the irony that hardly anyone responds to the 'Do Not respond' thread? Don't answer that either.
