i just took a trip to ohio to visit family and my grandmother said that the top thrill dragster was closed down for the season but couldn't find any proof. she doesn't have a computer so i couldn't check. is this true?

Yes, its true. Your grandmother is right. Top Thrill Dragster has been closed since October 26th.:)

I am rather surprised by the number of people who thought that Dragster closed for the year early. I assume this is what she meant rather than meaning that CP is closed for the winter. When Kinzel said he would consider closing it down for the season if they couldn't get it running more reliably by the 4th of July, I thought it was a great way to handle business. Unfortunately, many people in Ohio thought that it actually was closing down. Oh well.

I wouldn't say many people in Ohio thought that Dragster was closed. In fact, I would say very few people thought that. Business was very good during August and September and that would not have happened if there was a widespread belief that Dragster was closed.
