We are finally getting back to CP after a year off. (And I'm finally posting here again after almost two years off.) We went in 2000 for MF, but my husband didn't want to go back until our son hit 48" and could participate in most things. Well, now that the kid (7 years old) has passed the four foot mark, has been on smaller coasters since he was 3, has done Shivering Timbers 3x on Memorial Day (hands up the whole way after the first ride), he's ready to rock!
We'll be arriving (Breakers Express) probably in time for starlight on Sunday, June 23, and will be in & out of the park & Soak City most of that week (also will do some side trips to the islands, etc). I've never stayed at CP more than a couple days, and we've never done Soak City (but that's a requirement with a 7 year old)! So, I'm excited to finally be back, and especially excited to share this great amusement park with our son - I swear I enjoy rides 10x more by seeing the look on his face!
You may see us - look for a woman with long auburn (now that I've been to the hairdresser) hair, a tall dark haired guy with glasses and a very excited seven year old boy. Anybody going to be around that week?

My son was 6 years old when we took him to CP for the first time. His first roller coaster ever was Iron Dragon. By the end of the day, he was riding Magnum. It was an exciting time and I know you'll have a blast.
