I am going to CP this year for the first time from out of town. Can anyone tell me their opinion on this question. Should I wait until I get to the park to buy a Fast lane pass or should I get one now in case they get sold out. I heard that they rarely get sold out but dont want lose out on one. Any thoughts, thanks!
I really don't think you will need Fast Lane the first week of June. Save your money and spend it on overpriced food.
Don't buy it yet. Wait until you get there. It shouldn't be too busy but let yourself be the judge on whether or not you want them. Check out the lines for the major rides and decide if you're willing to wait for however long they seem to be. If you don't want to wait that long, then walk 20 feet to the nearest location where FL is sold (really, it's sold all over the park) and get one. But I definitely wouldn't buy it before you get there. Have fun!

I would wait until you get there, and then certainly get it. In fact, I would get the plus.
Guys & Dolls, he's coming for his first time from out of town.
Are you kidding?
Fast Lane Plus it, at least one of the days. Even if it's "mild", Millennium, Dragster, Maverick, & Gatekeeper will all have lines of anywhere from 40 - 60 minutes each, and maybe more.
I would highly recommend FL + for one day, and then relax the other days filling in the gaps with what you liked most or did not get to enjoy.
That said, I think you can wait until you get there.
Promoter of fog.
We went on the corresponding weekend last year. The weather on Saturday was unseasonably warm and the park was pretty crowded. We found FL a big help. Late afternoon, the crowds thinned--I think the heat either drove people back to their hotels or maybe over to the water park. Crowds picked back up as it cooled off a bit.
Any Saturday in the summer should be considered a pretty solid candidate for FL. AFAIK it has never sold out in advance and even when it does sell out, it is on a per-point-of-sale basis and starts happening late morning/early afternoon.
