july crowds.

How have the crowds been so far in July? I am looking to plan a trip sometime between now and august.
What has seemed, or been the slowest day of the week in July so far? Thanks.

Sunday is the least packed.

Let's Get Weird.

Man, if Sunday is the least packed... skip July altogether. I went yesterday, my Sunday experiences generally being that the crowds are mild, and that was not so much the case yesterday. It didn't "feel" crowded -- the midway crowds seemed mild -- but everything (and I mean everything) had long lines. Headed over to Blue Streak mid-day to try for a short wait and encountered 45 minutes... 45 minutes for Blue Streak?!

Strange thing was, the waits seemed inconsistent... it was like really random rides had waits (longest line I've ever seen on Matterhorn, not ridiculous, but long for that ride) and really random ones didn't.

Anyways... it was an odd experience day, patterns just seemed very different from others I've "learned" over the years.

I went on a Thursday and it was moderate....big lines...big rides. There were minimal waits for maXair, Skyhawk, Magnum XL-200, Gemini, Mean Streak, and even Top Thrill Dragster had a pretty quick line. Raptor was the longest wait by far. Maverick's was long, but being a new ride, the anticipation started to build so the wait went by faster.

So Thursday seems the day to go then?

How does one Thursday in July determine that Thursday is the best day to go? It's July go in expecting a good size crowd, if you were to use past history though then try for Sunday seeing that they are generally the least crowded.

101 on Magnum and counting...

That's the problem with time... it keeps going forward, so you can never anticipate a repetition of the past.

I can anticipate it.

From the third week of June until Labor Day....THE PARK WILL BE BUSY.

Now, an all-day rain here and there may cause the crowds that day to be less, but then again, nothing will be open either.
