Hey guys I was just wondering... When I went to Disneyland a few years ago and it was on July 5th and there was like nobody there. I was wondering if there are alot of people at CP around july 4th and 5th. I just wanted to know Because me and a buddy are planning a future trip this summer and were wondering when a time with nice short lines would be. Oh yeah, ive been on Mellennium Force 3 times and it is sweet, i love it. I will be there on the 1st of July and just can't wait to ride again. Well, just wanted to know your opinions on the 5th.
Worst weekend to go. I went just to see the fireworks and it was too crowded for my tastes.

I don't think I've ever been at CP on or near a holiday and not faced a capacity crowd. Add that to the MF factor this season, and you have a recipe for disaster.
The 4th is a Tuesday this year, though, so maybe the crowds won't be as bad, since people will likely have to work the next day. Still, if you're driving any non-trivial distance to CP, I wouldn't chance it.
Personally, I'm aiming my trip for June 25-29 (including two days of driving from Kansas City, round trip). I'd be at the park Monday through Wednesday. Anyone have opinions on that?

With the addition of MF, all bets are off.
Traditionally, I go during the last weekend that the Getaway packages are available (this year my trip is June 16-20 -- yes, five straight days at CP) because the park is typically much more crowded anytime after that. This year, the park seems to be playing to huge crowds even at historically "slow" times. At least you'll be there for three straight days, so you'll have time to do most everything, even with large crowds.
I presume you're using WoF season passes?

I kinda banked on that, which is why I upped the trip from two to three days. I was hoping to go earlier (19th-20th), but I'll just be getting back from a trade show on the 14th and there'll be a week of work to catch up on, not to mention the work we'll generate at the show itself. Just don't think it would work out.
And yes, I'm getting season passes to WoF next week. I haven't even been there for at least three years, and I want to get on the new(er) coasters there anyway. I don't get out much with my job :)
