I'm really wanting to go to cedar point next week, and I was wondering how busy July 5th normally is. Being the day after the 4th, I would think it would be pretty slow, people will go for the weekend, and have to be back to work on Monday. Is this a good assumption, or is it normally pretty packed.
Thanks
P.S. I understand that "busy" is a relative term, just give me an idea of line length for the coasters.
Not sure about how buisy it will be, but you have to wonder how many people are thinking the same thing you are.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I was there on the 4th of July last yr and the PARKING Lot was Filled. The Dragster Line was at least 1 1/2 wait, but the MAGNUM Line was 15min wait. It also if there is good Hot Weather it will be FILLED. Last yr is was 75` and no rain.
I would also keep in mind that since the 4th falls on a Sunday this year, a lot of people will get the next day off as their vacation day for the 4th.
Last year, I went on the 5th which was on a Sunday, and to my suprise, towards the end of the day, the park was almost dead. Dragster had about 15 minute wait, Millennium 20 minutes, Maverick 30. Everything had a very small wait.
I think you almost have to treat Monday like a typical Sunday at CP. If you can stay all day the crowds will begin to taper off as the day wears on. Most will have Monday off but will have to work on Tuesday. Some will have to work Monday so that should work in your favor.

Well, it was a Saturday during the summer. Sounds about right to me.

Was it the 4th, when cars were being parked on the grass by the causway?

I've noticed that in most parks a Monday holiday means Sunday gets the Saturday crowd and Monday gets the Sunday crowd.

From the webcam, it looks like nobody is able to park in the smaller rectangular area right by the former Demon Drop area. In kind of surprised that, even with the loss of these spaces, the parking lot still isn't full today. Anyone know what they're up to?
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
That area is blocked off for the fireworks. There is also a parking ban in effect for this weekend for the employies.

Judging from the webcam of the parking lot, I hope that the OP decided to go on a day other than today.
