You know; after looking at those pictures of Goliath more, I think this one at CP is going to be another Goliath. EVERYTHING is identical. Even the smaller beams for turns.
The placement of the footers are even identical. No aquatrax, no water involved...just a very nice roller coaster! Woo Hoo! It's about time we got a real one after the Millennium Force. (Can't count TTD as a real one)
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
I've been thinking that either a Stengel Dive and/or a Flying Snake Dive would be featured on this ride. Hopefully we get one.
Blue Streak crew 2007
ATL Matterhorn Tri. 2008
Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
After looking at the comparison between Goliath and P'07, does anyone think that Cedar point may still be going for any records? By the looks it, they are very similar.
It is probabaly still too early to tell.
I could have gone without the quote from gilbert gnarly. Great pics especially from a phone.
New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
I definately think there will be a lift involved for this coaster, thats my opinion, with heavy sharp overbanked turns like the other guy posted in his post. So Adam if your reading this post, I think this will be an Intamin Mega Coaster. Remember our bet, hint hint.
What happened to all of those people last week who said that they were done pouring the footers? From the new pics I think it's pretty clear that footers are still being poured. Also, one other interesting picture shows an overbanked turn facing towards the lake, it also looks pretty close to the lake. So if that's the case, then this coaster will possibly be partly over the lake, unless it can do something really weird to go into that banked turn....just a thought.
For all we know dude, they could be done with 90% of the footers while the other 10% cannot be done yet because of Undertaker U and Wave Swinger possibly being the path of this new coaster. And if there is an overbanked turn pretty close to the lake, it would have to be a tall overbank to go over Premier road that goes by Millennium Force, Mean Streak, and Project 2007. I doubt that we'll see overbanked turns that close to the lake.
oh yeah, i forgot about that road over there...oh well. But the footers that I'm talking about are still in the construction zone. I saw the pics on point pixel. What are they doing in that area? No one is talking about the huge area where the footers look like they are being put in below ground level...am I missing something here? Probably.

Just got my camera. None of the pictures seem to have come out very well. Oh well.
And what is premiere road?
This ride will not go out of the boundaries already set. There will be no more land clearing to make way for project 2007.

That is the road that leads to the cabins and cottages back behind Cedar Point. Great places to stay!
Just because they've started erecting supports doesn't mean they're done pouring footers. I suspect that if we were to look back over all the photo galleries and compare them with the new pics, we would see that the first poured footers are now the first ones to get their supports.
The guy I talked to a few weeks ago said they were hoping to be done pouring footers by the end of July. So there's still 11 days left in the month if he's right. Actually there's 11 days even if he's not. ;)

It may not be 100% new, but it's pretty much the best you're going to get right now.:)

There are some up close pictures, you can compair the support size of people standing right next to them. There is also a video of the supports going up.
Dont forget that in that pic of the A frame support, Terry and Chris are standing farther back from the support, so it looks bigger than it really is.
